As summer is winding down, I wanted to share a sampling of some art working created at Gaston School of the Arts by one of our residents. A last minute change in summer plans gave her the opportunity to experience two weeks of art camp. She continues to enjoy this outlet to express emotions. This was a last minute plan and if you are interested in helping fund this experience for her please see the link to our webpage to make a donation. Our cover photo is a picture of "The Dream Team"! The lives the women in that picture have touched is tremendous. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that a central part of that team is no longer with us here on earth. Please pray for her family, and our Loray Girls' Home family as we mourn her loss. Pray for former residents who will see this post and grieve the loss of someone who helped them through their teen years, was a mother figure they longed for, and who gave them unconditional love and acceptance. For those who would like to travel with LeaAnn, Barbara and I to the service, please meet at the Girls' Home at 12:00pm this coming Tuesday, July 14th. We will travel as a family, for that is who we are and who Laura taught us to be.

We took full advantage of the snow day❄️Went sledding and played in the snow at Rankin Lake. The girls had a good time just being outside and having fun.

There is still time to help make Christmas bright for our residents. Please view our wish lists and see what wishes you can make come true.

The holidays are here, and we’re hoping to make this season extra special for the girls at Loray Girls Home. This year, each resident has an individual Amazon wishlist filled with items they love, need, or have been wishing for. From comfort items to fun activities, every gift helps make their Christmas a little brighter.

We’ll be sharing all four wishlists, and any support means so much to the girls and to our home. If possible, please have gifts ordered by December 17th so everything arrives in time for Christmas.
