YOUTH IS BACK!
We had a great summer and are excited to kick off the fall together.

High school students, youth starts back this Sunday (8/16). We will begin a new series titled "Life in the Son." In this study students will be walking through the gospel of John. They will be challenged to deeply consider who Jesus is, how to faithfully articulate what they believe about Christ, and ultimately look to Jesus and believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God.

Middle school students, youth starts back on Wednesday (8/19). We will begin a new series through the book of Colossians. This study focuses on the supremacy of Christ. Our desire is that students would learn how to walk in a manner worthy of the Gospel.

HS CAMP DAY 4!
Last day best day! In session five Pastor Jeff directed students to see what it looks like to respond with courage when they are tempted to look to the pleasures of the world. Students then transitioned to reflection time where they studied Colossians 3:1-17. They considered what it looks like to know that nothing on earth can compare to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. After lunch students had the ability to participate in various different tournaments, make crafts, or watch a movie together. In the last session students were challenged to evaluate what it means to live courageously for Christ in a world that lives contrary to the truth. In their last growth group students examined what it means to walk in wisdom and discernment while relying on Christ for strength and endurance. We ended the night with worship under the dorm (and a senior party)! Be praying for the high school students as they return back home. Pray that they would live courageously for the gospel in their daily lives.

HS CAMP DAY 3!
Thursday morning began with students having reflection time. They studied Philippians 4 and learned what it means to have joy and trust in the Lord in all circumstances. After reflection time students had a Q&A with Pastor Jeff where they were able to ask questions based on what they have been learning this week. We then had brunch and free time! During free time students had the opportunity to participate in various tournaments. They also had the option to attend a breakout group where they learned about what it looks like to intentionally study the Bible. After dinner we had session 4. During service Pastor Jeff spoke about sustaining courage and where we find it. In growth groups students discussed how courage is only sustained through Christ and His word. They ended the night with late night. The theme was superheroes vs villains!

HS CAMP DAY 2!
Wednesday began with students attending session two. In the morning service they were led to see that the Lord is a Warrior and nothing can stand against him. They looked specifically at passages from the Old Testament that reveal this to us. After service, they had reflection time. Students looked at Psalm 27 and evaluated what it means to seek God and remind yourself of the things he has promised to believers.
We then had lunch and free time. Students participated in tournaments, went to the beach, and spent time with their growth groups. After dinner we had session three. In this session students looked at how the Lord is a Warrior and he keeps his people. They looked at passages from the New Testament that point to this idea. In growth groups students reflected on what it looks like to find comfort in knowing that the Lord is a Warrior while also evaluating how they respond to the Lord. After groups we had a pool party for students.

After growth groups they had lunch and free time. They enjoyed playing games, making crafts, and hanging out with their groups. After dinner we had session 4! CAMP STARTS TOMORROW!
Close to 250 students will leave and head to camp tomorrow! Please join us in praying for the students as they go.
You can pray specifically that:
-God would use His word to draw students to Christ and deepen their faith.
-That the Holy Spirit would use teaching, small groups, and conversation to grow students in truth and love.
-For attentive hearts and few distractions throughout the week.
-For our small group leaders, kitchen team, and volunteers as they faithfully serve our student team.
-That God would be glorified and that students would leave with a greater love for Christ and His church.
SEE YOU AT THE BEACH!!
