John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.

Why is faith important? Because it is a proven fact that by law, no man can live perfectly enough to please or be accepted by God. So the next best way to establish good and acceptable relationship is to trust, and believe in what one is saying.

In John 8:31, Jesus said, continue in my word. We find favor, and acceptance of God through Christ, and his word. The act of faith makes us whole as we hear, listen, and follow.

If what’s in front of you is important, you must make the things behind you unimportant. Put yesterday, in yesterday so that you can gain the fortitude you need for today. As we yield ourselves to the plan and purpose for our lives, God will show up right on time, breaking the chains that the enemy tries to bind us with. He will break in our lives the fever of discouragement, discontentment, depression, feelings of inadequacy, etc.

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:10

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

One of the loftiest goals for those of us who have accepted The Lord as our savior is to live a life that reflects the glory of God. This goal is admirable, and definitely one we should each desire; but living a life that reflects God's glory will take more than a desire and a hope for this outcome. It will take a fervent pursuit of understanding who God is, what pleases him, what touches his heart, and what he will bless. This pursuit can not be accomplished by our own strength and wisdom. It can only be accomplished by daily taking the time to hear what God has to say through his word, to us.

Reading, studying, and applying the principles of the word of God daily enhances our faith and puts us on the path of reflecting the glory of God.

Proverbs 1:7

God has a plan to move us forward. We must be careful not to make our neglect God's plan. When things do not work out for us, where do we veer from God's plan? Too often, our opinion corrupts that which is divinely righteous.

The way forward is tied to a responsibility. Be responsible beforehand. Even our prayer requests must be tied to a responsibility. Responsibility knows how to tame what's in front of it. The price for greatness is responsibility.

Mature faith acts on a level of wisdom. When do we grow to a mature faith? When faith is required and it does not stumble; it is consistent.
