We are a group of born-again motorcyclist joined together in unity and purpose seeking to share our common interests with one another, with those we meet and with others who share similar interests. We are actively involved in worship events, motorcycle rallies, swap meets, charity events, and just plain clean fun. We are continually in the process of learning to improve our spiritual walk with Go

d especially in moral and Christian understanding. We share our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another, urging each other to a deeper relationship with Jesus by reaching out to specific personal needs, one on one relationships and Bible study. We pray for the Lords’ presence in everything we do.

The Importance of Presence
Acts 18:23

After spending some time in Antioch, Paul set out from there and traveled from place to place throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

Thoughts for Today:
A few years ago David Packard and Bill Hewlett (yes, the founders of Hewlett Packard), wrote a book titled "The HP Way." In it they coined a phrase, "Management by Walking Around." The principle goes like this: "In interpersonal work environments most of the time you only see what the other person is presenting. Since they know your expectations, they will manage their presentation so as to satisfy you. On the other hand, when you walk around you get to witness what people are actually doing."

Paul was a great example of "Management by Wandering Around" and indeed may have been the original model behind Packard and Hewlett's concept. We find in our passage today that Paul would not just plant a church then hope it grew untended. Instead he knew that each individual church would face multiple challenges, pressures and difficulties. He understood his role as a leader was to be present, ever vigilant, and always strengthening. It is only by attending, watching, and listening that we will truly know what is going on. In our modern world, third party reports, emails, graphs and charts will only let us know when a project is already off course, not before.

This principle not only applies to the workplace and ministry, but also to child rearing and marriage. If you planted a beautiful garden but then walked away and didn't come back for a year, what would you expect to see when you returned? A bunch of dead plants and weeds right? It would be a miracle if you found anything different, yet so many times a job, ministry, child, or spouse is taken for granted, ignored or neglected and then we wonder why and how things got off course. We need to be more like Paul, walk around more, and witness what is actually going on. Personal presence is one of the most important components of effective leadership.

Questions to Ponder:
If you were to look at your relationships as a garden, which have you neglected? Is it your marriage, your son or daughter, maybe it's in the workplace where you've stopped trying? It's important to know what's going on with the people in your life, so pick up the phone, go to soccer practice, visit your child's classroom, go shopping with your wife (or play golf with your husband). Invest in your relationships and they will be more rewarding.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Hebrews 10:24–25
Have you ever noticed how a few encouraging words can completely change someone's day? A text message, a conversation, a reminder that someone believes in you, those moments often stay with us far longer than we realize. The Bible teaches that our words carry tremendous power. We can build others up or tear them down. We can bring hope or discouragement. Over the next few days, we're going to explore the power of encouragement and discover how God can use our words, actions, and presence to strengthen the people around us. You may never fully know the impact of your encouragement, but God often uses simple acts of kindness and affirmation to change lives.
Hi friend,
Most of us can remember someone who encouraged us at exactly the right moment.
A teacher who believed in us.
A friend who spoke hope when we were discouraged.
A mentor who saw potential we couldn't yet see ourselves.
Years later, we still remember those words. Why? Because encouragement changes lives.
In the Old Testament, Jonathan did this for David. While David was running for his life, discouraged and uncertain about the future, Jonathan sought him out and strengthened his hand in God. He reminded David of God's promises when David needed it most.
In the New Testament, Barnabas became known as the "Son of Encouragement." While others questioned new believers and doubted Paul's transformation, Barnabas believed in people and helped them grow.
I've learned that encouragement isn't complicated.
You don't need perfect words.
You don't need a platform.
You simply need a willingness to notice people.
The reality is that many people are carrying burdens we know nothing about. They may look fine on the outside while quietly battling fear, disappointment, loneliness, or uncertainty.
A few sincere words can become a lifeline.
And here's what I've discovered: encouragement doesn't just bless the person receiving it. It changes the person giving it too. It shifts our focus away from ourselves and helps us see others through God's eyes.
That's a powerful way to live.
Together in Him,
Ryan

[5] But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32
Hi friend,
We live in a world that often celebrates big achievements, major accomplishments, and dramatic moments. But God frequently works through simple acts of kindness.
A word of encouragement.
A listening ear.
A thoughtful text message.
An unexpected act of generosity.
Kindness may seem small, but its impact can be enormous.
In the Old Testament, Boaz showed remarkable kindness to Ruth. He could have ignored her. He could have done the bare minimum. Instead, he went out of his way to care for her, protect her, and provide for her. That kindness changed the course of her life.
In the New Testament, Jesus tells the story of the Good Samaritan. While others passed by someone in need, the Samaritan stopped, cared, and served. His kindness required inconvenience.
That's often the case. Real kindness usually costs us something. Time. Attention. Energy. Comfort. I've found that kindness is easiest when life is going well and I'm not busy.
But the Holy Spirit often prompts us to show kindness precisely when it's inconvenient. That's when it becomes fruit. Because kindness isn't simply being nice, it's reflecting the heart of God.
When we show compassion, offer encouragement, or meet someone's need, we're giving people a glimpse of God's character. And the beautiful thing is that we rarely know how far those small acts will travel.
A kind word today may become someone's encouragement tomorrow. A small gesture may become a lasting memory. Never underestimate what God can do through simple faithfulness.
Together in Him,
Ryan
