The New Church Year is officially in full swing. Here's our Deacon Family Ministry plan for the upcoming Church year!

According to God's Word, the word 'Deacon' means servant, according to the Greek word Diakonos (διάκονος). Here at FBCG, our deacons aren't a 'board', but they are a body of servants who serve our congregation! They look forward to serving you this year!

It may have been Labor Day weekend, but we had a blessed day in the Lord at FBC Gaston!

We had a great message on 'Thankfulness' in Small Groups. During our worship service, we continued in our series through 1st Corinthians as Pastor Brady preached from 1st Corinthians 9:19-23, with a sermon entitled 'How to Win More Souls for Christ!' We also welcomed Frankie Caldwell into our congregation as a new member, as she has recently completed our new members class. Frankie, we can't wait to see how God will use you here!

For the second week in a row, we were able to pray over someone being sent out for God's Glory and His mission.

We can't wait to see you this coming Wednesday as we pick back up in our study of 2nd Samuel with 2nd Samuel 3:1-25, with a message entitled 'Trouble in Paradise!' Our meal FREE meal at 6 PM will be Taco salad.

As a Southern Baptist-affiliated church, one of our core principles is missional living according to Matthew 28:19-20. Part of fulfilling that is missions education. On Wednesday nights, our children participate in missions classes where they learn about missionaries each week, pray for them, hear from them, and do mission projects to support them, so they can be encouraged to live a missional lifestyle. We call these classes Mission Friends, Royal Ambassadors, Girls in Action, and Acteens.

This past Wednesday night, we had our recognition service for all of our children's accomplishments in their classes and 'promoted' those who are moving up.
