Tolleston Community Garden (located between Spirit of God and St. John Lutheran Church)

The effort will continue this Spring/Summer/Fall and congregants & members of our two congregations, as well as our neighbors who live in the area, are invited to help clean up, plant, water, and maintain the garden. This collective effort is designed to revitalize, to connect with, and to bring our community together; to develop other creative ideas that will renew the city; and to display to the City of Gary that we love and care about our neighborhoods and communities. The Community Garden has also been used by Home School groups as part of their educational curriculum for their students.

There is flexibility in the times to care and work the Garden. If interested, please send a message with your contact information and we will share with those in charge of this project.
