Challenge: Turn our Complaints into Celebrations!

Our new spiritual discipline in Celebration and the kids were taught last night to try to see things as blessings and not complain. Kids brought home a baggie to create a Celebration Chain of 7 pieces but you can totally add more!
When you hear them complain (our instant fleshly response) challenge your kids to turn it into a celebration and write it on their chain link.

Parents, I gave this Challenge Card to kids who are about to start in the YOUTH. There are no prizes or need of turning in the card when they complete it. It's just a personal challenge that can help them grow in their walk and challenge them to find ways to serve and grow. I have loved beign with your kiddos. Thank you for allowing me the opprotunity to teach and spend time with them

Wednesday Night is our LAST NIGHT with our Kids who have finished 6th grade before they LEVEL UP to YOUTH on Sunday morning!

🔵Tonight there will be 🍕🍕🍕 and 🍪🍪🍪for the kids.
🔵We will play some fun Jeopardy games reviewing what we've learned this summer and all about our promoting kids.
🔵 6th graders who are about to start 7th grade will meet their new connect group leaders, Wed Night leaders, and check out the YOUTH area at the beginning of the evening.
🔵We will pray over and have a special gift for those who are heading to youth.

Hey parents!

Yesterday you received one of these handouts when kids were picked up from Children's Church. As we kick off our new school year and connect groups, we are challenging the kids to memorize both the Big Picture Question and Answer and the Key Passage for each unit (its the same for about 4 weeks in a row). We have some small incentives to encourage them but the biggest incentive is that the kids are hiding GOD"S TRUTH in their minds and hearts.

Lots of Happenings this month➡️ Mark those calendars!

July 29th is our LEVEL Up Night and our last night with our 6th graders who are going into 7th grade.

August 2nd- NEW Connect Groups Start! Kids LEVEL UP to new groups. Also it's GLORY GANG Night. Such a beautiful way for kids to serve and pray over other kiddos.

August 9th- SPLASH Kingdom Night! Invite some friends to come!

And then the week of all things Back to School! I'm praying for a great year for students, parents, and teachers

It's almost time to LEVEL UP! This coming Wednesday Night is our last night for our kids who are about to start 7th grade to join us before they level up to Youth! We want to honor them and send them off well- please try to have all kiddos come to this fun night but especially our 6th graders who are heading to 7th grade. Mrs Leslie has put together a special Wednesday Night to honor them. Pizza and goodies will be provided. Hope to see yall there!

Hey parents! Here is what we learned today:
God gave His people commandments so they would know how to honor Him and live rightly. Because of sin, no one is able to keep these commandments perfectly. God sent His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect, sinless life. Jesus died and rose again so that sinners can be forgiven.

For Fun:
Play a game of "Simon Says”. Play a few rounds while making the game increasingly difficult. Try to make it so that no one can perfectly follow the calls to move. Discuss how hard it is to follow God’s rules perfectly. Then talk about how Jesus kept all the commandments perfectly on our behalf, and how we are saved by grace and not by following rules.

To Serve:
Use a poster board to write out the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:1-17. Over a 10-day period, study one commandment each day. Discuss how the commandment might help a person to love God or love others. Talk with kids about the ways we might disobey the commandment, and how it points us to Jesus as the only perfectly righteous one.

For the rest of Wednesdays in June and July, we will be discovering that God has created us on purpose and for a purpose...

For the rest of Wednesdays in June and July, we will be discovering that God has created us on purpose and for a purpose!

Tonight we covered how we are each uniquely designed by God. Romans 12 dives into the gifts given to each believer for the glory of God and the betterment of the body of believers.
