As our eyes take in all of creation it's easy for them to be fixed on anything than our Holy and Awesome God. We in our sinfulness worship the creation rather than the Creator.
But praise Him that He still loves us so much He sent His Son to die for us. This week here are some activities to do as a family for fun or to serve::

😁FOR FUN:
Use a language translation app to help your family practice different languages. Have some fun saying common phrases in English and allowing the app to translate into other languages. Talk about how this story from Genesis 11 is the account for how the world received so many people groups and languages. Discuss how this division came as a result of sin, but how God’s plan still includes a time when every tribe and language will worship Jesus as Lord.
🫶 TO SERVE:
Use the translation app to learn the phrase “Jesus is Lord” in other languages. Make signs to place in your window or yard to declare this truth in multiple languages. If you know of a family that speaks another language, consider sending them a postcard with the phrase in their language and a summary of what kids are learning. End the conversation by thanking Jesus that He is Lord of all people and will one day have every language confess that He is Lord!

This week's REST Challenge for kids:
Read Psalm 55:22 each time you are worried about how to
handle a situation. After you read the verse, ask God to give you direction and talk with your family about what you should do. Once you know what to do, go and do it!

How'd the 2 minutes of silence challenge each day go this week? Let me know in the comments!
See yall tonight!

God is Just and right to judge our sin. Praise God He sent us Jesus and that He paid the penalty for us- taking our sin and giving us His robes of Righteousness. This week as a family you can try these activites to drive this point home:

😁For Fun:
Make an origami boat or a boat from other craft supplies. Test the boat’s ability to float in a pond or your bathtub. Review the story of Noah. Help kids understand why God punishes sin and how He has lovingly made a way—like the ark for Noah—through Jesus for us to be saved.

🫶 To Serve:
Volunteer to help at your local animal shelter. Feed animals, clean cages, or take the animals for walks. Talk about everything Noah and his family would have experienced on the ark. God used the ark to rescue Noah’s family and the animals from the flood. There is an even greater rescue through Jesus!

Need some round the table dinner conversation starters for your kiddos this week? How about tying in the spiritual discipline of REST::
❓❓❓Some discussion questions might include❓❓❓:
What have you been learning about God lately?
How have you been practicing rest?
What makes practicing rest difficult or easy for you?
What is your favorite Bible story and why?

02/19/2026

This week's rest challenge involves SILENCE. 🤫🤫🤫

Our challenge to kids is to sit in silence for two minutes each day. They might pray, think about a Bible verse, or reflect on what’s happened in their day.

Join them in it to set a great example and have that time with God 😍

Did the kids ask you how you practice the spiritual discipline of REST this past week?
You can still have that discussion before tonight as we dive into REST some more in Children's Church at 6:30pm. See yall then!!

Start your week with a smile.... and maybe a shaking of the head 😆🤣

Today we discussed the First Family and our Hearts towards God. This leads to great discussions on His Holiness, our Worship, and how we walk that out.

😁For Fun::
Compare baby pictures of each family member. Talk about the way kids may resemble their parents or the ways siblings may resemble each other. Remind kids that the sin of Adam and Eve has been passed on to every generation—including your family, but Jesus’ death and resurrection have made eternal life available to anyone who believes in Him!
🫶To Serve:
Explain the concept of tithes and offerings to your kids. Allow them to participate in however your family gives to your church and invite them to also give. Talk about the offerings of Cain and Abel. Remind kids that God wants us to give with a cheerful and grateful heart as an act of worship.
