Many of you by now may have seen the news about a single car accident on Easter Sunday where someone was killed. The young man was an exceptional 25 year old, young Christian named Tristan Boyles. Tristan went to Zion Lutheran Preschool as a young child. So he was familiar with our church from a young age. Several years ago, he & his girlfriend came to one of our Sunday services. Tristan was hooked & loved what he heard & saw that Sunday & returned week after week. Not long after, he got engaged to his girlfriend, Allie, & they attended together weekly. They married & became members of our congregation. Six months ago their little baby boy was baptized at Zion. Our church needed someone to keep up our page & Tristan was approached. He had never done something like this before but said he would give it a shot. He took on the task full bore & did a wonderful job! If you have found this page & saw it on a regular bases Tristan is the one who posted the daily devotionals & verses for every day. He totally loved doing this for his church & his Lord. On Saturday, he joined a small group to fill eggs for our Easter egg hunt for Sunday. He enjoyed doing any type of church work when he was able. On Sunday, before he was on his way to church, he posted his last post on this page. It was an Easter greeting: He is risen! He is risen indeed! Allelujia! And then he left for church. He never arrived. He was on his way when the accident happened.
Our church family's heart has been broken. Tristan felt he had received God's calling to become a pastor & had planned on starting classes at the seminary in Ft. Wayne this coming summer. We are posting this to let you know that you may not see anything on this page for awhile until we sort things out. We will continue to update you & post info. on the preschool when needed. We will try to continue the daily posts after a hiatus. So don't give up on us!
Please keep Tristan's famuily in your prayers. He leaves behind his wife, baby son, parents, & many extended family members. He will be greatly missed by his church family, but we know we will see him once again in our heavenly home. And we know he is now rejoicing with our Savior. Thanks for understanding. And the Lord be with you all.
He is risen. He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!
