Last month, Conference Youth Ministry Director Julia Royall Johnson had the opportunity to share about Conference Youth Ministry with clergy from the Corridor District!

Julia was joined by outgoing District Youth Coordinator Lydia Cauley and incoming District Youth Coordinator Libba McCluskey as they connected with clergy about the many opportunities available for youth at the conference level, district level and the ways we can come alongside local churches to support and strengthen their youth ministry programs.

We’re grateful for our clergy, youth leaders, and district coordinators who continue to invest in young people across the NC Conference. We’re excited for another year of connection, collaboration, and ministry together! 💙

We are so excited to welcome our 2026–2027 Conference Youth Officers as we begin this year!

This year is going to be filled with many opportunities, new friendships, meaningful conversations, and—most importantly—ways for us to grow closer to God and to one another. We are incredibly excited to see what God has in store for this year and for all that we will accomplish together!

As we begin this new year of ministry, we ask that you keep our officers, our adult leaders, and all of the youth across the NC Conference in your prayers.

Our Conference Youth Council gathered in early August for our annual Planning & Leadership Retreat! 💙

Together, our youth spent time in fellowship, leadership, worship and planning as we looked ahead to another exciting year of Conference Youth Ministry.

North Carolina Conference is in Dublin! 🇮🇪🌍

This week, youth and adult leaders from across the NC Conference of The UMC are attending the Global Young People’s Convocation (GYPC), joining young United Methodists from around the world for worship, leadership development, learning, and connection. Held every four years, GYPC is a reminder that we are part of a global Church, united in our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Please keep our delegation in your prayers as they represent the North Carolina Conference, build relationships with young people from across the globe, and return home inspired for ministry.
