Acts 9: 3-4
3 As he neared Dss as Marcus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

~. Lord God, most of us are familiar with Saul’s conversion on the road to Damascus. He took pride in his reputation for not just imprisoning, but killing Christians. But when he was suddenly knocked off his ride and blinded, he had a miraculous change. He became one of the greatest witnesses and preachers of the Gospel.

Lord, you were a miracle worker changing Saul to Paul. So we lift up the leader of our nation and ask that you would pierce his heart with change. He has caused many in our nation to suffer needlessly with failed policies & retribution. Families torn apart, depravation of food, healthcare & jobs.

Father, you have shown us time and time again that we should never give up on anyone. We pray today for a turnaround of our president, that he would bow down & seek salvation for his soul before it is everlasting too late. We come to you because you sit on high but you are always looking down low. We ask our prayer today in the name of Jesus. Amen

God inhabits the praises of his people.

~ Lord, we come to you with praises & thanksgiving. Because we want your presence so we speak praises. You give us the opportunity to come before you, so we lift up our voices today because we know you move in places where you are honored and you reveal your presence where you are worshipped. Father we seek the manifestation of your peace, power and your comfort.

We seek you today in homes, jobs, families & churches. We seek you no matter our conditions of sadness, depression, illness, financial distresses..trouble on every hand. We seek you to thank you for the battles we won, the difficulties we overcame and the joy you have already given us. No matter what we face…we seek you to praise, honor, glorify & worship you. We ask our prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen

13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

~ Dear Heavenly Father, back during Covid trouble & sickness seemed to be all around. Everywhere we turned, people were falling ill & calamity seemed to be around every corner. We didn’t want to live in fear, but Covid kept us alert & vigilant. So here we are today Lord, & now we are hearing about the haunta and Ebola viruses. So again, our unrelenting faith will bring us through & we still have courage because our strength comes from you. Thank you for keeping your protective hand on us during difficult days. Keep us standing ready for the next wave of trouble that can strike at any time. Trouble won’t last always! We trust you & will continue to taste & see that you are still good. We love you & thank you for bringing us through. Our prayer is in the name of Jesus. Amen

14 I have given them thy word; and the world bath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

~Father God, it is so difficult for your people to live & coexist in a world where everybody & everything seems to be against who we are. It's like a whale that spends its entire lifespan in the ocean. It not only lives there, it gets its' food there, plus it breeds and gives birth to its’ offspring in the water. The irony of being in the ocean its entire life, the whale is a mammal so it needs oxygen to breathe.

Lord, you didn't make a mistake in your creation of the whale to live in the ocean with all of the resources for survival. You also didn't make a mistake when you allow us to live in the turmoil of this world. So we thank you for the reminder that no matter what we face in this world, your protective hand is always upon us . Thank you for the comfort of the Holy Spirit & for Jesus who paid the price for our eternal heavenly life. It is in his name we pray. Amen

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting (Job 8:21).

~ Father God, we have joy & are glad because of all that you do for us! Please continue to cover our hearts & minds Father, so that bad news, sadness & depression will never overtake & completely consume us. We know that the storm clouds of life are real & will come. So help us to encourage, be encouraged, & accept encouragement from one another. We must seek your rainbow even in the midst of dark clouds & the storm. Neither life nor death, or anything can separate us from your love. And trouble won’t last always! Our faith in you Father is unwavering! Father, our prayer today is that we your people show the world joy, laughter & our hope abounds even in perilous times. Thank you for giving us laughter, a smile & help us to always share our joy & our Hallelujah victory shout. We ask this prayer in the sweet name of Jesus. Amen

~ Heavenly Father, as we arise today we have no reason to worry about what happened yesterday or be fearful about what is ahead in our tomorrows. You told us in your word that you are the beginning and the ending, so we will trust you. We thank you for giving us the peace of mind as we go through life. No matter who is the leader of our country, the numbers of the stock market, the federal interest rate and on & on. You still reign forevermore Father & we have victory in Jesus, the author & finisher of our faith. We lift our hands & our prayer today is in His Holy Name. Amen

Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

~ Heavenly Father, we thank you for allowing your people to come unto your sacred place above all the fray of this world. There is so much discord in the world. It is always a joyous occasion when we can bring ourselves & offer up our sacrifices of praise. We honor & glorify you at your alter. You know our hearts’ desires so we willingly offer up our prayers & petitions. We trust you Father for allowing prayer in our homes & anywhere when we don’t have access to your holy temple. We know you are omnipresent & we thank you for hearing our cry & being such a good, good Father. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

8Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

~ Dear God, there are times we don’t feel so special. We step out of bounds with disobedience of deceit, hypocrisy & slander. How dare we to act like brats & go astray! Your Word always brings us back to reality. You chose us as your prized possessions, took us out of darkness & put an eternal spotlight of protection on us.

Forgive us Father! Help us to replace our evil thoughts, words & deeds with love & blessings to others. Keep us on the mark of our calling with humbleness & a caring spirit to always bless others. Oh we thank you Father for our inherited blessings that you always pour down us. We praise you Lord and pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

- Heavenly Father, we come to you today looking closely at how young some people die & leave us to reflect on our own mortality.
You are such a good, good father! You give us plenty of time & opportunities to live & serve you. And because you give us “free will”, we forget that our time on this earth is limited. It is easy to be young, carefree & feel fireproof. Even reaching middle age, many still feel they have plenty of time to change & live a life pleasing to you. But then when some reach an age with the scars, aches & pains of old age, they still won’t commit themselves to serving you.

Lord, we thank you for giving us more time to worship, praise & serve your kingdom. Let us never take for granted that tomorrow will be available to us. Guide us Lord to live holy unto you. Let our life be a reflection of your goodness as we walk in obedience to you. May our time here be used to bring others to your kingdom before it is everlasting too late. Time is winding down so let us do all we can to your glory. We ask our prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

~ Father God, Jesus taught us that he is the true vine & we must remain close to him. When we are grafted into him we will be fruitful. Our influence on others will be based upon our tree, the fruit we bear & the spiritual nurturing we have on others.

Lord, we are still gleaning from the wonderful teachings of your Son. Remove our personal motives & agendas. Help us to always use the wisdom He poured into us to bring souls & for the edification of the Church & your kingdom. We thank you for giving us the mind to serve you & fo do all things to your honor & glory. We lift our hands in total praise & our prayer is in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen
