Text: Ephesians 1:3–14

Have you ever received news so good that you could hardly keep it to yourself? A long-awaited medical report came back clear, a prodigal child finally came home, or a crushing debt was suddenly canceled. In moments like that, joy overflows, and you want to tell everyone.
That is the energy driving the Apostle Paul as he opens his letter to the Ephesians. Arrested, beaten, shipwrecked, and imprisoned, he still bursts forth in one of Scripture’s greatest doxologies. In the original Greek, Ephesians 1:3–14 is one long, breathless sentence, an eruption of praise. Paul cannot stop talking about what God has done, is doing, and will yet do in Jesus Christ.
This passage reveals God’s eternal plan for His people, a plan that reaches back to before the foundation of the world and extends forward to the fullness of time. It is not God’s reaction to human sin or a last-minute adjustment in heaven. It is a plan from before time, unfolding through time, and carrying us beyond time into an eternal inheritance.

Scripture: Ephesians 1:1-2 Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians with a simple but profound description of himself:
“Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God…” (Ephesians 1:1)
Paul does not boast about his spiritual achievements or pedigree. Instead, he points away from himself and rests everything on God: “by the will of God.”
Paul understood that his entire identity and ministry flowed from something far greater than his own effort. He was living and serving under the power of God’s purpose. His apostleship was the visible expression of an invisible decision in the heart of God.
And what Paul understood about himself is exactly what we need to understand about ourselves. If Paul’s identity was grounded in the will of God, then our identity in Christ is grounded there, too. Who we are as Christians is not ultimately built on the strength of our faith, the intensity of our emotions, or the consistency of our devotion. It is rooted in God’s gracious choice, His redeeming love, and powerful work in Christ.
Paul writes:
“To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 1:1–2)
In these opening words, he not only tells us who he is—“an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God”—he also tells us who we are: “saints,” “faithful,” and “in Christ Jesus,” receiving grace and peace from God.
So as we look at Ephesians 1:1–2 today, we’re going to ask a vital question: Who are we in Christ?

Text: Job 42:10 Scripture: Ephesians 4:13. In a world consumed by ambition for wealth, status, recognition, and influence, the Church of Jesus Christ has been entrusted with the highest and most life-transforming ambition of all: to be conformed to the image of Christ. Not partially. Not superficially. Not only in isolated moments of devotion, but wholly and completely, in full stature.

Text: Job 42:10 There are many kinds of strength people exercise in this world. Some strength seems loud, visible, and commanding. But there is another kind of strength that often goes unnoticed, the strength of a praying mother or a woman bearing an emotional burden. It does not always stand on a stage, make public announcements, or receive applause, yet it carries power that can shift lives, cover families, and open doors that seemed permanently closed.
A mother’s intercession is one of heaven’s hidden instruments of forgiveness, restoration, and healing. While others may only see her tears, her waiting, her silence, and her endurance, God sees her faith. He sees the late-night prayers, the whispered cries, the burdens she carries for her children, and the hope she refuses to let go of. What looks hidden to people is never hidden from God.
Throughout Scripture, we are reminded that restoration often begins not with noise, but with prayer; not with human ability, but with persistent intercession. Many lives have been preserved, many destinies recovered, and many broken places healed because someone stood in the gap before God. And often, that someone was a mother.
Today, as we reflect on the message “Restored Through Intercession: A Mother’s Hidden Power,” we will discover that a mother’s prayers are not weak, wasted, or forgotten. They are powerful before God. Her intercession can become the channel through which healing comes, wandering hearts return, and what was lost is restored.
May this message remind every mother that her prayers matter, and may it awaken every hearer to the transforming power of forgiveness and standing in the gap for those we love.

God's power is with you, do not fear or feel intimidated. | Rev. John Iwuamadi

Deuteronomy 20:1–4
There are times when life’s battles feel greater than our strength—whether in our families, our minds, our work, or our faith. In those moments, fear urges us to focus on the size of the struggle rather than the power of God.
But Deuteronomy 20:1–4 reminds us not to be afraid, because victory does not depend on human strength or strategy. It depends on the presence of the Lord. The same God who delivered Israel promises to go with His people, stand for them, and fight on their behalf.
As we reflect on “The Lord Who Fights for Us,” we are reminded that no battle is too great when God is with us. The struggle may be real, but fear does not have the final word—God’s presence, faith, and victory do. Blessings!
