21 Days in the Psalms | Fasting & Prayer
Week 2, Day 3 | Psalm 91 | Jaime Varkey

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” - Psalm 91:1

As we are in the middle of this 21-day season of fasting and prayer after the New Year, Psalm 91:1 reminds us of a powerful truth: God is our protector. The promise of this verse is not rooted in circumstances but in closeness to God. Scripture says, “He who dwells…” not visits, not occasionally seeks, but dwells. God’s protection flows from a relationship.

The “secret place” is a place of intimacy with God, where we consistently meet Him through prayer, fasting, worship, and His Word. When we choose to dwell there, we come under the shadow of the Almighty. A shadow represents nearness and covering. To be under God’s shadow means to live close enough to Him that His presence becomes our shelter and defense.

God’s protection is not limited to physical safety alone. As Pentecostal believers, we trust in a living God who protects us spiritually, emotionally, and mentally through the power of the Holy Spirit. He guards our hearts from fear, our minds from confusion, and our souls from discouragement. Even when we face uncertainty or opposition, God’s covering remains steady and sure.

This season of fasting helps us refocus our hearts on the One who protects us. As we deny our flesh, we strengthen our faith and declare that our safety is not found in human strength, finances, or plans, but in the Lord alone. When we choose to dwell in Him, God becomes our shelter in uncertain times and our peace in the midst of storms.

As we commit to prayer and fasting, let us choose to dwell daily in God’s presence. May this season deepen our trust and strengthen our faith, knowing that those who abide under His shadow can walk forward without fear. The Most High is our refuge, and under His protection, we are secure.

21 Days in the Psalms | Fasting & Prayer
Week 1, Day 3 | Psalm 32 | Gabriel Kunnel

God Forgives. Our Great Almighty Lord, our savior, even when we do bad things, and we even know we've done bad things, He still forgives us!

"Then I acknowledge my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord." And you forgave the guilt of my sin."

NO matter how much you've sinned, God still wants you. I get it, you may feel like "Oh, I've sinned to much, God doesn't want me.." Well, no! God does want you, in fact, he loves you so much, he gave his ONE and ONLY Son to die on the cross for you! We should build our strength and trust in our loving father, for He is the only one who forgives and for he alone, loves us so dearly. Do not disconnect from God because of your sin, that's what the Enemy wants. God understands your pain. He wants you to talk to him and be able to forgive you of your sins..

"Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deciet." - Psalm 32:1-2

"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." - 1 Peter 2:24

No matter how bad our sin is, it is cleansed because our God sent His only son to die on the cross. He bore the punishment of our sins on the cross. So by this, if you have complete faith that Jesus died for you on the cross, you are and will be forgiven. By the Grace of God, you are forgiven. But this doesn't mean you should take this for your advantage! Our lives should be holy and acceptable towards God and we should be like a holy temple!
