The English poet William Blake said, “We become what we behold.”

Many of us spend too much time beholding the wrong things, or at least not the very best things. Today is a good reminder to look upon, consider and take in what matters most.

I hope today as you behold Christ and the cross you will consider what they mean for each of us and all of us. We cannot help but be changed in every way once we begin to look honestly and openly upon that device which Christ alone shed his blood, and thus in Christ alone is salvation made possible.

If you are looking for a church community I hope you will tune in to our stream or visit us as we kickstart our next series on the Lord’s Prayer. We will be looking at the prayer Jesus taught his disciples line by line to gain a better understanding. This is a neat opportunity to challenge your own prayer life or begin praying if that is foreign to you.

We meet outside on the parking lot social distanced with masks every Sunday morning at 10am, weather permitting of course.

We would love to fellowship with you at your comfort level. Everyone wears a mask and the lawn is large enough to social distance to the degree you are most comfortable. You can see the church address below.

For those not yet comfortable with in person meetings we also offer a streamed service Sunday mornings from 10:30 - 12:00 pm. You can access the stream through our website (www.thenortheastchurch.com). We are currently in an apologetic series reading through a book by Rebecca McLaughlin called “Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World’s Largest Religion”.
