Sims Chapel Missionary Baptist Church

Sims Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Sims Chapel was the first Colored church organized in Garland in 1915. The church was organized under the leadership of Rev. A.L.

Sims in the home of Brother and Sister Thompson. In 1969 they moved to its new location in East Garland at 317 Parker Drive.
