GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR HURT β PART 2
When Forgiveness Is Harder Than Holding On
What happens when you finally have the power to hurt the person who hurt you?
Do you get even? Do you make them feel what you felt? Or do you choose a different path?
Joseph's brothers betrayed him, sold him into slavery, and caused years of suffering. But when Joseph finally had the power to retaliate, he chose mercy instead.
Just because you have the power to hurt somebody who hurt you doesn't mean you have to exercise that power.
Forgiveness doesn't excuse what happened. It doesn't eliminate accountability. But it challenges us not to become the very thing that hurt us.
Join us this Sunday at New Generation Church as we continue our series, God Is Bigger Than Your Hurt β Part 2, and discover why forgiveness begins where our desire for revenge ends.
