To the people of First Presbyterian Church of Garden Grove:
As you know, our community, state, and nation are deeply and rightly concerned about the Coronavirus. Our church family joins in those concerns and seeks to make wise decisions in caring for its members.
Our governor has asked for the suspension of group gatherings, especially larger ones. The Center for Disease Control has given an extra warning for people over the age of 60 defining them as “individuals at higher risk.” And our love for the members of our congregation calls us to be wise and caring.
Therefore, the leadership of our church has decided to suspend our Sunday morning worship services for the rest of the month of March. But know that suspending some worship gatherings does not suspend us from being the church.
We will continue to care for each other and pray for one another. And we encourage you to call the Pastor or the church office for pastoral care or any other church related needs. We also encourage each of our members to serve one another by reaching out by phone, email, or text to one another. Let’s stay in close touch with each other, as a family of faith should, and in doing so make sure everyone has what they need during these days.
We will keep you in our prayers and keep you informed as to the church schedule.
In Christ’s love and peace,
Pastor Jack and the Elders and Deacons of First Presbyterian Church of Garden Grove
