Big Idea: Our lives can pass on the good news.
Bible: Acts 9:36–43; Mark 13:9–11; Matthew 5:14–16
This week, students learned about Tabitha, a woman known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. Her faith was not only something she talked about—it was something she lived out through her actions.
Tabitha made such a positive impact on her community that many people deeply mourned her when she died. Through Peter, God raised Tabitha back to life, and many people heard about what God had done and believed in Jesus.
❤️ What did our teens learn?
Our lives communicate a message. We can influence others not only through our words, but also through our actions, kindness, generosity, and the way we treat people.
The good news is that God came to earth as Jesus to rescue us. Jesus died and rose again, and through Him we can have new life. We are called to pass this good news on to others.
🏠 Parent Challenge
This week, encourage your teen to ask:
“What message is my life sending to the people around me?”
Look for opportunities as a family to show kindness, encourage someone, serve others, and share the love of Jesus through your actions.
Our teens don't have to be famous or have thousands of followers to be influencers. Their everyday lives can influence others for Jesus.

Forgiveness Is Always God’s Game Plan

Big Idea:
Forgiveness is always God’s game plan.

Bible Story:
📖 2 Samuel 11:26–12:13 — David and Nathan
📖 Psalm 34:15–22

Main Lesson:
David made a very serious mistake. He took Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife, and then arranged for Uriah to die in battle. God sent the prophet Nathan to confront David and help him recognize his sin.

Nathan told David a story about a rich man who took a poor man’s only lamb. David became angry and said the man deserved punishment. Nathan then revealed, “You are the man!” David realized that Nathan was talking about him and his own actions.

Instead of hiding or making excuses, David confessed his sin:

“I have sinned against the Lord.” — 2 Samuel 12:13

God forgave David, although David still had to experience consequences for his actions. This teaches us that God’s forgiveness does not mean our mistakes have no consequences, but it means we can repent, receive His forgiveness, and move forward with Him.

🏀 Application

Just like a player may make a mistake during a game and get another opportunity to get back in the game, God gives us a way back when we mess up.

We can:

1. Admit our mistake.
2. Ask God for forgiveness.
3. Ask forgiveness from others when needed.
4. Choose to make things right.
5. Forgive others because God has forgiven us.

❤️ Take-Home Truth

Making a mistake doesn’t mean the game is over. When we sincerely repent, God forgives us and helps us make better choices.

⭐ Big Idea for Kids

“Forgiveness is always God’s game plan!”

Discussion Question:
Have you ever made a mistake and needed someone to forgive you? How did it feel when they forgave you?

Closing Thought:
God wants us to be people who forgive. We don’t have to hold on to anger, bitterness, or guilt. We can bring our mistakes to God, receive His forgiveness, and extend that same forgiveness to others.

To play a sport, you'll need a great coach with a good strategy to help you reach your goals. Preteens learned about the time Abigail stepped in to bring peace between David and her husband, Nabal. By trusting God and sticking to the winning strategy, Abigail shows us how making peace is part of God’s game plan.
