Philippians 1:3-4 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy.

Paul is thankful and full of joy and deep affection toward the believers because of what God did, is doing, and will do in their lives

Controlling Our Thoughts: Philippians 4:8-9 
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

In these verses later in Philippians, Paul challenges to control our thoughts! Focus on what is praiseworthy, that we can give thanks for, even with people that are hard or situations that are hard. Look for Paul’s example in today’s text. Limiting our thought-life to what is pleasing to God leads to peace and joy in the Lord!

The goal of our Engage Apologetics Conference is to focus not just on believing the truth, but then engaging a lost world with that truth. To be salt and light and engage belief systems contrary to the Gospel, we must believe God’s truth and then engage in a winsome and effective way.Topics will include:

1. What is a cult?
2. How do we engage someone who is part of a cult or leaning that way.
3. Breakout sessions on specific cults.
