Una oración para el Día de los Caídos
Señor de gracia y gloria, los estadounidenses recuerdan a sus caídos en la festividad que llamamos el Día de los Caídos (Memorial Day). Ayúdanos a recordar la causa de la guerra, los horrores de la guerra y, en ocasiones, la necesidad de la guerra. Ayúdanos a explicar a una nueva generación la realidad del mal, la necesidad del sacrificio, pero, sobre todo, la necesidad de Ti. Sin Ti, cualquier victoria es efímera y cualquier sanación es pasajera. Sin Ti, Estados Unidos está a merced de sus enemigos, y sus enemigos no conocen la misericordia. Por tanto, derrama sobre nosotros tu misericordia desde lo alto, para que nunca olvidemos a aquellos que murieron por nuestra libertad, y a Aquel que murió para hacernos libres para siempre. Amén.
🇺🇸 En este Día de los Caídos, damos gracias a Dios por bendecir a nuestro país con hombres y mujeres dispuestos a servir y proteger.

Lord of grace and glory, Americans remember their fallen on the holiday we call Memorial Day. Help us to remember the cause of war, the horrors of war, and, at some times, the need for war. Help us explain to a new generation the reality of evil, the need for sacrifice, but above all, the need for you. Without you, any victory is fleeting, and any healing is short-lived. Without you, America is at the mercy of its enemies—and its enemies do not possess mercy. Therefore, shower us with your mercy from on high that we may never forget those who died for our freedom, and the One who died to make us free forever. Amen.
