We had the pleasure of having former Buff, Tom Nguyen speak to us Sunday night. He spoke on enduring and being actively engaged in the “waiting” periods in our lives. More so, how we can apply this to the Advent Season before Christmas.

Tom emphasized that we are made TO love, BE love and FOR love. How are we living this out as Christian’s in our day to day lives? Are we trying to hurry through and control our story of life because we want to know how it ends or are we allowing God to write it, based on His plan?

What in our cups need to be replaced this Advent Season? Are we carrying around a cup full of bitterness, unforgiveness, hate that spills over to others?

Thank you for sharing your heart and love for Jesus and for others to experience His love!

Sunday nights huddle started off with a fun twist on tic tac toe and boys vs girls…. GIRLS WON 👀

Then, Diana gave a message about how God revealed His glory to the Israelites in the book of Deuteronomy. Not only does God send them to the promised land because of their obedience, we talked about how an entire generation was wiped out, besides Caleb and Joshua, because of their disobedience and the way they were living their lives - full of wickedness, evil and worshiping false gods.

He reminds them that disobedience does have consequences, and though the Lord has grace, He is also just.

“When the Lord heard what you said, he was angry and solemnly swore: “No one from this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your ancestors, except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land he set his feet on, because he followed the Lord wholeheartedly.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1‬:‭34‬-‭36‬

Are we being obedient in the things God has asked us to do? Are we OPEN to hearing and listening to Him or just focused on what we want and our accomplishments?
