August 8th, we feast to commemorate the Transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor, where He revealed His divinity before the Apostles Peter, James, and John.

"The Transfiguration of Christ reveals to us our ultimate destiny as Christians, the ultimate destiny of all men and all creation to be transformed and glorified by the majestic splendor of God Himself."

Memory eternal! Fr. Joseph Rahal pastored St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, Washington, DC for more than 20 years, represented the Archdiocese at various government functions, and compiled bilingual service books.
