Lectura Bíblica:
Nehemías 4:9 (NTV) “Así que oramos a nuestro Dios y pusimos guardias en la ciudad día y noche para protegernos.”
Observación:
Nehemías tenía un trabajo que hacer, un llamado a cumplir.
Se enfrentó al ridículo e incluso a la amenaza de violencia
de sus enemigos. Las personas que lideraba estaban
desanimadas y asustadas. Vemos en este capítulo que la
primera respuesta de Nehemías cuando se encontró con
los planes de sus enemigos fue simple: oro. Primero oró,
poniéndose a sí mismo y a su pueblo bajo la protección de
Dios antes de hacer planes o tomar medidas. Desde ese
lugar de paz, fue capaz de guiar sabiamente y alentar a su
pueblo a recordar la grandeza de Dios (v. 14) y continuar
en la tarea que tenían que hacer.
Aplicación:
Qué fácil es estar tan concentrado en nuestros problemas
que nos olvidamos de ponerlos en oración. Nehemías
nos demuestra el orden y el equilibrio de la oración y la
acción. Dios se preocupa por ti y por cada problema que
enfrentas. Invítelo a cada situación y observe cómo su paz
transforma su vida.
Oración:
Señor gracias. Gracias por preocuparte por mí y por cada
situación que enfrento, grande o pequeña. Ayúdame a ser
como Nehemías, presentándote cada obstáculo primero, y
para poder actuar desde un lugar de paz y con la sabiduría
que solo proviene de ti. Muéstrame las áreas de mi vida
donde estoy tratando de resolver las cosas por mi cuenta.

Nehemiah 4:9 (NLT) “But we prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves.”
Observation:
Nehemiah had a job to do, a calling to fulfill. He faced ridicule and even the threat of violence from his enemies. The people he led were discouraged and frightened. We see in this chapter that Nehemiah's first response when he encountered his enemies' plans was simple: pray. He prayed first, putting himself and his people under God's protection before making plans or taking action. From that place of peace, he was able to wisely guide and encourage his people to remember the greatness of God (v. 14). and continue in the task at hand.
Application:
How easy it is to be so focused on our problems
that we forget to put them in prayer. Nehemiah shows us the order and balance of prayer and action. God cares about you and every problem you face. Invite him into every situation and watch how his peace transforms your life.
Prayer:
Lord thank you. Thank you for caring about me and every
situation I face, big or small. Help me to be like Nehemiah, presenting every obstacle to you first, and so that I can act from a place of peace and with the wisdom that comes only from you. Show me the areas of my life where I am trying to figure things out on my own.
