Join us for church this weekend!

This Sunday we get to celebrate all the ways that the Lord has been gracious to us during my time as your pastor.

Our time together has been a joyful season, a reason for much Jesus-inspired fruit, and source of great gratitude.

And it may appear obvious but as we close one chapter and begin another Philippians 1:1-11 reminds us that these three things… joy, gratitude, and fruit should continue to define our personal faith and Pequea Church.

This weekend at church….

So far in our study of the life of King Josiah we have witnessed only “good faith.” We have witnessed an individual whose personal fervor for the Lord has overflowed into the entirety of his sphere of influence.

Sunday as we turn to 2nd Chronicles 35 we see more examples of “good faith” from King Josiah as he leads Israel in a celebration of the Passover Meal like had not been experienced in generations in Israel.

But… we will also see our first example from the life of King Josiah of “bad faith.” At the end of Josiah’s life we see him for the first time seek his own kingdom as priority over the Lord’s Kingdom… and it leads to a tragic outcome.

Join your church family this weekend as we closeout this series by studying the greatest Passover Meal ever celebrated and one of the most tragic passing ever recorded so that we can emulate the good and avoid the sinful.
