Why keep searching for life in places that have already died?

Too often, we return to broken relationships, empty conversations, and spiritually dead places hoping something will suddenly change. We pray, we wait, we hold on—while God gently asks: Why are you looking among the dead for the living?

Sometimes… they simply are not ready this season.

But God keeps asking:
Why are you looking amongst the dead for the living?

The living is in Christ Jesus.

Hope is in Christ Jesus.
Faith is in Christ Jesus.
Peace is in Christ Jesus.
Your future is in Christ Jesus.

Jesus died and rose again, and He is alive today.

We must stop searching for life in places that continue to drain us spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Stop expecting dead things to give you the life that only God can provide.

The tomb is empty.
Christ is alive.
And because He lives… your situation shall live too.

Maybe not in the way you expected.
Maybe not in the timing you wanted.
But in due season, it shall live again according to God’s will.

So today, lift your eyes off the dead situation and place your eyes back on Jesus.

For before God sees us, He sees His Son who covered us through His blood, grace, mercy, and resurrection power.

Why do you keep looking amongst the dead for the living?

In Luke 24:5-6, the angels asked the women at the tomb,
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.”

That same question still speaks to us today.

He is not there.

He is risen. ❤️

And if you want to know this God, this Jesus who died on the cross for you, Romans 10:9 says that if you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

I invite you today to receive Him.

Sometimes we keep waiting for people, situations, and things to change… and when they don’t, we become frustrated, irritated, and emotionally drained.

But what if God allowed it not to change because He was trying to save you, grow you, and move you forward? 👀

Maybe your answer was never behind you.
Maybe life is calling you higher through Christ Jesus.

Coffee with God 📖☕️❤️

Some mornings, God will remind you that He sees what people do quietly.

In the Bible, Cain rose up against Abel because jealousy had entered his heart. But even when Abel could no longer speak, God said his blood still had a voice.
Genesis 4:8–10

Then there were two women who stood before King Solomon, both claiming the same baby. But when Solomon tested their hearts, the real mother was revealed by her willingness to let go rather than see the child destroyed.
1 Kings 3:16–28

The Bible shows us over and over again that people may use jealousy, manipulation, lies, and trickery to get their way. But sometimes what they fought so hard to take still cannot give them peace.

Here is the Coffee with God thought:

You can hurt people and still look innocent.
You can destroy people and still act quiet.
You can manipulate the room and still smile.

But God sees.

He sees the silent tears.
He sees the private pain.
He sees the heart behind the action.

And the same God who collects every tear is also the God who judges righteously.

“ You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.” Psalm 56:8 NLT

So on today, do not be weary. Do not let bitterness lead you. Love unconditionally, Smile brighter, Laugh Louder. Keep your heart clean. Keep your hands pure. Let God be God.

Because what is hidden from people is never hidden from Him.

And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.”

“And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.”

— Exodus 33:18, 20 KJV

Moses wanted to see more of God, but God only allowed him to see part of His glory. Not because God was rejecting him, but because God’s full presence was too holy, too powerful, and too glorious for human flesh to handle.

Sometimes we pray, “Lord, show me Your face,” but what we are really saying is:

Lord, let me know You deeper.
Lord, let me feel Your presence.
Lord, let me see Your hand in this.
Lord, let me recognize You in the middle of what I am facing.

We may not be able to see His full face, but we can seek His face.

“Thy face, Lord, will I seek.”
— Psalm 27:8 KJV
