Dear Fellow UUFGC Members,

Our 2026 Annual Congregational Business Meeting will convene on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 10:30 am, beginning with a catered brunch, followed by the meeting. It is very important that as many as possible attend so that we have a quorum and are able to conduct Fellowship business. If you are unable to attend, please email [email protected] to get a proxy.

We will vote on our proposed 2026-27 budget and elect new Board positions, which include a President, President-elect, Secretary, Treasurer and one At-Large member. Currently there is not a nominee for President-elect, so please contact me if you are interested in serving in that capacity. We will also hold a vote on revisions to the Bylaws, including a change to membership eligibility.

Thank you all in advance for your attendance on June 14, and for another successful Fellowship year!

Sincerely,
Lodie Massey, Board President
UUFGC

June 7, 2026 Further Freedom - Catherine Vance

Unitarian Universalists have been leaders in the abolition and civil rights movements, advocating for compassion and change when others were silent. Still, there are some aspects of our racial justice legacy that are less praiseworthy. Can we look at our past record honestly-- and where do we go from here?

Catherine Vance is the Ministerial Intern at UUFGC and an interfaith chaplain for the UTMB Hospital system. With this congregation's help, she received her Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in May and is on track for ordination.
