This weekend, we begin a new month of meditations in Forward Day by Day, from a new author.

Mike Angell serves as the rector of St. Michael and All Angels in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Previously, he served in St. Louis and on the staff of the Presiding Bishop for young adults and college students. He is a writer, husband, dad, and advocate with a passion for justice and finding God in unexpected places.

Once again, during Lent, our church community is collecting food and other supplies for people in need. We go out after church and distribute the bags to people we find who may need a little help. This is called “Avril’s Project” because Avril inspired us to do this outreach! Avril is in the first pic here. Thanks to everyone who is helping. We are bringing these gifts to the altar on Sundays and our priest blesses them and prays for all who will receive them.
