Hi Everyone,

I noticed some new likes to this page recently so I am wondering if some new visitors need some encouragement. I feel like the Holy Spirit is guiding me to share.

FEAR...

How many of us let fear stop us from moving forward? I know I do. Sometimes it's paralyzing.

Father Mike Schmitz (whom I love from the Bible in a year podcast) is going to do a series on fear that I thought I would share.

Today he talked about REJECTION. And the fear of rejection. We all have stories and because of what has happened in my life, I struggle very deeply with this....to the point of isolation sometimes.
We all need to feel accepted as human beings. We need to feel a sense of belonging.
We need to find our identity and integrity and not sacrifice these in order to be accepted.
God loves us fully like this. He knows everyone of us by name. He has called us to be His. When you have a LOVE and ACCEPTANCE from the most important One, you can risk being rejected and move forward!

This really spoke to me tonight.

Today's reading from "Jesus Calling for Christmas":
Sometimes you are tempted to take shortcuts in order to
reach your goal as quickly as possible. But if the shortcut
requires turning your back on My peaceful Presence, you
must choose the longer route. Walk with Me along paths
of Peace; enjoy the journey in My Presence.

Psalm 25:4
Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.

DEUTERONOMY 31:6

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” NIV

This is the first scripture that really spoke to me. Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS! Do not be afraid. You are NOT ALONE. He will NEVER leave you! Those are big, powerful words! These words brought me COMFORT at a time I felt I had no one. As single parents, we feel alone a lot!!! People can/will leave us. God will NEVER leave us! Put your TRUST in Him!

But as I read this scripture now and am dealing with a lot of FEAR, it says something different to me. Joel Osteen said today, "The Bible says that fear brings torment. Fear has no mercy. If you act on fear instead of acting on faith, it will keep you depressed, miserable, and lonely. So many people are missing out on God's joy, peace, and victory because they keep giving into fear."

FEAR keeps us from doing things. We don't worship openly or talk about God because we are afraid. We don't "jump into the deep end" of God's will because we are afraid. We don't follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit and what He wants us to do because we are afraid.

Fear lets the enemy in and keeps us from having the life that we really want, a happy, healthy fulfilling life. Say no to fear and chose FAITH! Faith in God, our Heavenly Father! He will not leave us.

I’m going to try something. This group used to meet once a month. Things got in the way and it was hard for people to meet at night. Since we do so much on our devices these days, maybe it’s better to reach people through them. I’ve wanted to start this group over & over but it didn’t work out. So I’m going to just post things, messages, feelings, scripture, things that have helped me, inspired me, and given me hope. Being a single parent is so hard! We have so many things to deal with. If I can help or inspire someone to keep going or look at their life differently or just help someone who is struggling, then I would be accomplishing what I feel God has asked me to do. Please feel free to like or comment on anything. Maybe we can even have a discussion! We can all help each other and maybe make life a little easier. Please stay tuned....And God bless you all!!! ❤️🙏🏼😇

God is making something beautiful out of your divorce. If God has gutted your house, there is hope. He wants to make your house solid and more beautiful than before. Then He wants to come and live there!
