🙏❤️ A VERY SPECIAL SUNDAY AT PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH!

This Sunday, we had the joy of blessing and praying for our Peace Lutheran Preschool staff as they begin a new school year.

And our teachers were not the only ones making a commitment. Peace Lutheran Church (PLC) also made a commitment before God: our teachers and staff do not carry this mission alone! As a church, we will walk alongside them with our prayers, encouragement, and Christian love.

After worship, we also enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship at our picnic, bringing together PLC members, our teachers and their families, as well as Peace Preschool parents and students.

Peace Preschool is a ministry of PLC and a precious opportunity God has given us to serve children and their families and, above all, to share the love of Jesus with them. ❤️

Dear Peace Preschool staff: count on us. We are in this mission together! 🙏

🎉 WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU THIS WEDNESDAY!

Dear Peace Preschool Families,

We are excited to welcome our students and families to our Meet & Greet this Wednesday, August 26! ❤️

It will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet their teachers, visit their classrooms, and begin feeling at home as we get ready for a great new school year at Peace Preschool!

🕤 3-Year-Old Students: 9:30–10:30 a.m.
🕚 4-Year-Old Students: 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

📋 A quick reminder: If you have any outstanding paperwork or fees, please bring them with you to the Meet & Greet.

Once the Brightwheel payment is completed in full, Brightwheel will be up and running for our families.

Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for this new school year, and we can’t wait to welcome you and your children this Wednesday!

A Great Start to a New School Year! 🍎📚

This Thursday, August 20, our Peace Lutheran Preschool staff gathered for a special teacher meeting as we prepare for the beginning of a new school year!

There was a wonderful sense of excitement throughout the morning. Our teachers are enthusiastic, prepared, and looking forward to welcoming our children and families back to preschool. It was also beautiful to see the great connection among our staff, sharing ideas, working together, laughing together, and taking care of the final details before classes begin.

We are especially grateful to our Interim Director, Kelly, for all the work, organization, and preparation that went into making this meeting possible and helping our preschool get ready for the new school year.

On behalf of Peace Lutheran Church, Pastor Renato welcomed our entire staff and offered a special welcome to our new Director, Cheryl. He also led a devotional time with the theme:

OPEN DOORS, OPEN HEARTS
Jesus Is the Door — John 10:9
Every Door, an Opportunity

Through a creative activity with different “doors,” (Welcome, Love, Listening, Care, Patience, Encouragement, Respect, Partnership, Forgiveness, Unity, Joy, and Calling), the staff reflected on the many opportunities teachers have each day to reach the heart of a child, care for one another, work together as a team, and serve the families who walk through the doors of our preschool.

At the center of the devotion was the reminder that Jesus said, “I am the door” (John 10:9). Because His door is always open to us with His love, grace, forgiveness, and strength, we can open our hearts to the children and families God places in our care.

A special thank-you also goes to Deaconess Raquel Hoerlle, who lovingly prepared all of the beautiful artistic elements for the devotional and helped bring the “Open Doors, Open Hearts” theme to life.

We thank God for this wonderful team, for their enthusiasm and dedication, and for the joy they bring to their work at Peace Lutheran Preschool.

The classrooms are getting ready. The final details are coming together. Our teachers are excited.

We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome our children for another wonderful year at Peace Lutheran Preschool! ❤️

“Welcome to our new Director, Cheryl, who will be taking over for Kelly. Cheryl and Kelly will work side by side to help ensure a smooth transition for the 2026–2027 school year.

Cheryl and Kelly previously worked together at a former neighboring preschool, and they are excited to have the opportunity to work together again. Cheryl has lived in Galloway since 2009 and is raising her four children there. She brings a strong background in management and previously served as Assistant Director, along with taking on various other roles as needed at the former school.

Please join Kelly and the Peace family in warmly welcoming Cheryl! We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year.”

We are so excited for a new school year at Peace Lutheran Preschool! 🎉

Welcome packets will be mailed out next week, and we can’t wait to see all of our families at our Meet & Greet on August 26th!

This Tuesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming John Hoover, representative of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF), to Peace Lutheran Church and Preschool.
During his visit, John shared that one of the greatest joys of his ministry is visiting congregations and schools, learning about their ministries, encouraging church and school leaders, and exploring ways LCEF can partner with them through loans, grants, outreach opportunities, playground improvements, and other projects that strengthen ministry.
Our Interim Preschool Director, Kelly Wasilauskas, also shared some exciting news. Enrollment for the upcoming school year is almost at full capacity, and we are excited about the wonderful response from families. We already have a waiting list for our 3-year-old program, and only a few openings remain in some classes. Kelly spoke about the excitement surrounding the new school year and the confidence that our preschool is moving forward in a very positive direction.
Pastor Renato and Interim Preschool Director Kelly also emphasized that the church and preschool are working closely together during this transition. Together, we are preparing for a wonderful school year, strengthening our partnership, and continuing our shared commitment to serving children and their families with excellence and the love of Christ.
We are grateful for John's visit and for LCEF's continued encouragement and support. We look forward with joy and confidence to all that God has in store for Peace Lutheran Preschool!
