Novena to Saint Louis IX Day 9
Opening Prayer: Saint Louis, our patron and guide, we humbly come to you asking for your great help and intercession during our pilgrim journey to our heavenly homeland. Please accompany us during this novena and teach us to seek God’s most holy will in all things. We offer this novena to you in particular asking for [your help and prayers that we may have a successful rummage sale and especially that God may be glorified in our efforts.]
Day 9: On this closing day of our novena to you, Saint Louis, patron and guide, we earnestly beg you to obtain for us so deep and great a devotion to our Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist that He would truly be the Center of our lives and the Reason for all we do. You had such a devotion to the Eucharist that you would attend Mass multiple times a day. Please entreat God for us that He would shower our parish with Eucharistic zeal and ignite a fire in each heart so strong and bright that our love for the Eucharist would enlighten and enflame the community that surrounds us.
(Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Hail Holy Queen)
Closing Prayer: Lord God, we thank You for our patron, King Louis IX. May he inspire us with his generosity and obtain for us the grace of a deep and abiding devotion to You in the Most Holy Eucharist. Gracious Lord, please hear and answer our prayers through the intercession of our patron. Grant growth and peace to our parish and bind us ever closer to one another in the Eucharistic Communion that we share. May you be blessed and adored forever and ever. Amen.
Anima Christi
Anima Christi, sanctifica me.
Corpus Christi, salva me.
Sanguis Christi, inebria me.
Aqua lateris Christi, lava me.
Passio Christi, conforta me.
O Bone Iesu, exaudi me.
Intra tua vulnera absconde me.
Ne permittas me separari a te.
Ab hoste maligno defende me.
In hora mortis meae voca me.
Et iube me ve**re ad te,
ut cm Sanctis tuis laudem te
in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within thy wounds hide me.
Suffer me not to be separated from thee.
From the malicious enemy defend me.
In the hour of my death call me
and bid me come unto thee,
that with thy saints I may praise thee
for ever and ever. Amen.
