May this sacred gathering strengthen him in his ministry and deepen his communion with the universal Church. We also give thanks for the special blessing of his time with our Holy Father.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate and experience the beauty of Filipino Catholic faith and culture. 🇵🇭🙏

Join our Filipino-American Catholic community of the diocese for the annual Feast of the Filipino Saints, honoring St. Lorenzo Ruiz and St. Pedro Calungsod, the two canonized Filipino saints.

Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Simon Peter Engurait, Fr. Patrick Riviere, priests of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux and visiting clergy.

Following Mass, everyone is invited to a Filipino fiesta and potluck reception in the Yvonne Anne Adams Life Center. Come to enjoy traditional Filipino food, cultural dances, fellowship and an opportunity to experience the vibrant faith and heritage of the Filipino Catholic community.

A rare and special relic of St. John Paul II is coming to the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux!

From September 18-21, the faithful will have the opportunity to pray and venerate a first-class relic of St. John Paul II as it visits a few parishes in our diocese.

The relic contains the liquefied blood of St. John Paul II and is one of four such relics in existence. It is the only one designated as a pilgrim relic, allowing it to travel and be made available for public veneration.

We invite you to take part in these special opportunities for prayer and to seek the intercession of St. John Paul II for yourself, your family and our Church.

For generations, churches like St. Joseph have been part of the story of life along Bayou Lafourche. They are places where families gathered, traditions were passed down, and communities grew with the bayou flowing just outside their doors.

Today we celebrated the Baptism of Dominick Fillinich Jr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. ⛪️✨

What a beautiful blessing to see so much family gathered together as Dominick was welcomed into our Catholic faith. May God guide him, protect him, and surround him with love throughout every step of his life. 💙
