The Grace to Make Others Rich: Divine Impartation and Prosperity.
There is a divine, pulsing current of heaven's wealth that flows through the hands and words of God's anointed ministers. Christianity is not a religion of perpetual poverty, nor is the Gospel merely a ticket to escape hell; it is the power of God unto total salvation—spirit, soul, and body—which includes the tangible, rich abundance of the Creator.
When God calls a man or woman, He places upon them a supernatural grace, an anointing so heavy and electric that it carries the very substance of God’s prosperity to transfer it to others.
1. The Apostolic Paradox: "As Poor, Yet Making Many Rich".
Consider the astonishing declaration of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 6:10:
"As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things."
How could a man who often labored with his own hands, traveling on foot and facing shipwrecks, boldly declare that he was making many rich? Paul was not speaking of physical currency in his own pocket at that exact second; he was revealing a spiritual dynamic. He possessed a divine ministry, an anointing, a transmission of grace.
When Paul spoke, when he laid hands, when he ministered the Word, the spiritual DNA of heaven—which includes divine health, supreme excellence, and extraordinary wealth—was imparted to his hearers. He could be stripped of physical garments, yet carry within his spirit the unsearchable riches of Christ, releasing them so powerfully that destitute, broken men and women walked out of his meetings spiritually and materially transformed.
2. The Cave of Adullam: The Contagious Anointing of Wealth.
Look at the raw, undeniable proof of this principle in the life of David. Before David sat on the throne, he was a fugitive hiding in the cave of Adullam. Who gathered to him? Look at 1 Samuel 22:2:
"And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men."
They started as a collection of failures: financially bankrupt (in debt), emotionally fractured (discontented), and overwhelmed by life (in distress). Yet, they linked their lives to David - a man anointed by God. Because they associated with David, because they came under his leadership, listened to his teachings, and spent intense physical time with him, that royal anointing rubbed off on them.
The spirit entered them. Physical proximity to the anointing transformed outcasts into legendary warriors known as "David's Mighty Men" (2 Samuel 23). And look at the staggering financial fruit of that association: when the time came to give toward the building of God's temple, these same men who started in debt gave mind-boggling fortunes of gold, silver, and precious stones out of the wealth generated under David’s leadership (1 Chronicles 29:6-9). The anointing of the leader broke their poverty and made them rich givers!
3. The Ancient Blueprint: Priests and Prophets Who Made Nations Prosper.
This pattern of financial and material empowerment through spiritual leadership is woven deep into the fabric of Scripture. It did not begin in the New Testament; it is the unchanging heartbeat of God.
A. The High Priestly Blessing over Israel.
In Numbers 6:23-26, God commanded Aaron and his sons to speak over the children of Israel:
"On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."
The word bless here in the Hebrew (barak) means to kneel, to invoke divine favor, to empower to succeed, prosper, and excel. When the high priest opened his mouth and pronounced those words, it wasn't a polite poetic wish; it was a legal, spiritual decree backed by the authority of Heaven. The nation prospered because the priesthood carried a mandate of abundance.
B. Priests Blessing the Givers.
In the Old Testament economy, when the people brought their sacrifices and offerings to the house of God, the priests didn't just take the offering and remain silent. They spoke over the givers. In Deuteronomy 26:15, God instructed the Israelites to pray regarding their tithes and offerings:
"Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us..."
There is a divine echo here: when humanity gives material substance into the hands of a consecrated spiritual system, the spiritual authority responds by activating supernatural multiplication over the giver's life.
C. Prophets and Prosperity.
Look at the life of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17). The widow was down to her very last handful of meal and a drop of oil in a cruse, preparing to-die of famine. Yet, the prophet of God arrived and commanded her, “Fear not… make me thereof a little cake first… For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail…” Because she responded to the word of the prophet, her economic crisis dissolved into an overflowing fountain of supply. The prophet’s presence and word shifted her entire financial reality.
4. The 5-Fold Ministry Today: Anointed to Make You Rich.
The ascension gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11 - apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers - did not expire with the early church. They are active today, and they carry the same heavy mantle.
Today, God still has pastors and ministers deeply anointed with the grace to make others rich. This is not worldly greed or manipulation; it is the divine heart of a Father who delights in the prosperity of His servants (Psalm 35:27). The 5-fold minister stands as a conduit. When they minister, they are not just giving a lecture; they are dispensing spiritual realities wrapped in human language.
5. The Anatomy of Impartation: Proximity, The Sower, and the Word.
How does a pastor make people rich? Through the divine mechanics of the Word, physical and spiritual association, and faith.
A. The Power of Proximity and Fellowship.
Just as David's men spent time physically with him, and just as the disciples spent intimate years walking, eating, and hearing Jesus - so much so that look at Acts 4:13, where onlookers “took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus” - your physical and spiritual alignment matters.
Consider Peter. Before meeting Jesus intimately, he was a struggling fisherman, toiling all night long with empty nets, facing corporate and financial frustration (Luke 5:5: "Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing..."). But when Jesus stepped into his boat, taught the word, and commanded him to launch into the deep, Peter pulled in a net-breaking, boat-sinking harvest of fish (Luke 5:6-7). Proximity to the Anointed One changed Peter's entire business economy overnight!
B. The Sower and the Seed.
In Luke 8:11, Jesus gives us the master key:
"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
When the pastor stands behind the pulpit, he is the sower. The message he preaches is the seed. But what kind of seed is it?
- If you plant a mango seed, you harvest mangoes.
- If you plant an orange seed, you harvest oranges.
- If you plant a corn seed, you harvest corn.
Therefore, you reap what you sow (Galatians 6:7: "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"). If a pastor steps up and intentionally sows messages of prosperity, abundance, and faith, what kind of harvest is bound to erupt in your life? A harvest of wealth! You cannot hear a message saturated with the DNA of prosperity, receive it into the fertile soil of your heart, and not produce a harvest of financial dominion.
C. Faith Comes by Hearing and the Spirit of Prosperity.
Romans 10:17 declares:
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Faith for what? Faith for whatever word is being spoken! If you sit under a ministry of lack, you will develop faith for poverty. But when you sit under an anointed pastor sowing words of divine abundance, your ears catch the frequency of heaven.
Look at Ezekiel 2:2:
"And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet..."
The moment the Word is spoken by an anointed vessel, the Spirit of God hitches a ride on that sound wave. Hearing is impartation. When the pastor declares God’s intentions for your wealth, the Spirit of Prosperity enters your atmosphere. As you listen with a receptive heart, that invisible, miraculous grace sweeps into your spirit. Suddenly, your mind shifts from limitation to limitless possibilities. Ideas are born. Doors swing open. Supernatural favor surrounds you like a shield.
6. Look Past the Vessel: Take the Blessing Seriously.
You must learn to take the blessing spoken over your life seriously, regardless of human flaws in the vessel, because the office and the anointing carry the weight of God.
Look at 1 Samuel 1: Hannah was desperate for a child, weeping bitterly. Eli the high priest sat at the door of the temple. Eli at that point had major flaws; he was a failing father with deeply troubled, corrupt sons. Yet, when Eli looked at Hannah and spoke a blessing over her ("Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition..." - 1 Samuel 1:17), Hannah didn't look at Eli's human failures or criticize his house. She received the word as a decree from Heaven, and she conceived and bore Samuel!
Look at Genesis 27: Isaac spoke a profound, wealth-transferring blessing over Jacob, and Jacob became overwhelmingly prosperous. Later in Genesis 48:15-20, Jacob—who had his own history of human struggles—blessed the sons of Joseph, and that spoken blessing dictated their glorious, prosperous future. The blessing works because it is anchored in God, not human perfection.
7. Practical Application: Embrace and Practice It Today.
This is not mere theology to admire; it is divine technology meant to rewrite your financial story right now.
1. Evaluate Where You Sit: Are you associating with voices of lack, cynicism, and poverty? Align yourself with the 5-fold ministry God has placed in your life. Sit under their teaching intentionally.
2. Honor the Spoken Word: Stop treating church messages like casual entertainment. When your pastor declares prosperity, financial breakthroughs, and supernatural favor, lift your hands and say, "That is mine! I receive that seed!"
3. Immerse Yourself in Proximity: Just like David's men and Jesus' disciples, spend quality time in the atmosphere of the Word. Listen to anointed messages repeatedly until the spirit of prosperity completely saturates your mindset.
Soul-Searching Questions:
- Are you letting human faults in earthly leaders rob you of the divine blessings God has packaged for your breakthrough?
- What kind of seeds are currently growing in the garden of your mind - seeds of lack, or seeds of supernatural abundance?
- If the anointing of your spiritual authority is designed to make you rich, why are you still settling for financial struggle and limitation?
Receive the word today, guard the divine seed planted in your heart, and watch your life overflow with the rich, uncontainable abundance of God!
