What a powerful day in God's house as the title of today’s message was, "The Benefits of Building Your Life on Jesus.” We also had an amazing Baptism Sunday! 🌊✨ See next post.
In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus teaches that those who hear His words and put them into practice are like a wise building whose house stands firm when the storms come.
Today we were reminded when we build our life on Jesus that:
🏠1. Life will be protected.
We have a foundation that can withstand the pressures, challenges, and storms of life.
2. Action is the pathway to abundant reward.
What you do reveals what you truly believe. We can know God's Word and His promises all day long, but if we never apply them to our lives, we miss the blessing of walking in His truth.
"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives." - 2 Timothy 3:16
💡3. It's hard to hear God's voice when you've already determined what He's going to say.
God's word is meant to guide us, challenge us, and lead us. We must remain open to His direction and trust Him with every step.
"Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." - Psalms 119:105
The enemy wants to leave us blind, but God's Word brings light, direction, and clarity. As followers of Christ, we are called to let our light shine before others so they can see His goodness and glory.
What an incredible day of worship, the Word, fellowship, and celebrating changed lives through baptism. We are grateful for all God is doing at Spirit Road Church and excited for what is ahead!
