St. Luke summer garden!

Join St. Luke Lutheran Church - Gales Ferry, CT for our Tag Sale on Friday, June 5th from 6pm-8 pm and Saturday, June 6th from 8am-2 pm!

The money we earn from the sale will provide beds and cribs for people who otherwise could not afford them.

Volunteers are needed to help set up and run the sale. Please let us know if you are able to help for a great cause!

During the summer months when many of us “scatter”, we have an extra challenge getting 7 folks to do the serving. We would like to have a list of folks we could call on “in a pinch”. We won’t schedule you as regulars. Thanks for considering, especially for the summer.

Join 2026 Vacation Bible School Camp Firelight!

Join us for Vacation Bible School: Camp Firelight, a joint VBS ministry of St. David’s Episcopal Church, St. Luke Lutheran Church, and the United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry.

Children are invited to gather for four evenings of faith, fun, music, stories, crafts, games, and friendship as we learn how God’s light guides us through every adventure.

Dates: Monday-Thursday, August 3-6, 2026
Time: 5:00–7:30 PM
Ages: Children age 4 through completed 5th grade
Location: United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry (10 Chapman Lane, Gales Ferry, CT 06335)
Registration Fee: FREE

Dinner/light supper will be provided each evening.

The St. Luke Lutheran Church Tag Sale is happening Friday and Saturday, June 5th-6th! Volunteers are needed to help set up the sale on May 31st right after church. Snacks will be provided for workers (chips, bread, peanut butter, jam, cookies, etc.)!

Bring us stuff to sell, come help us organize it, then come to the tag sale on June 5 (6 to 8 pm) and 6 (8 am to 2 pm) to buy stuff to fill up the space you gained by getting rid of stuff.

Join the New London Homeless Hospitality Center for Pass the Guitar, a special benefit concert commemorating 20 years of the New London Homeless Hospitality Center! The event will be Saturday, June 6th from 6:00 PM–8:00 PM at Hygienic Art Park at 79 Bank St, New London.

For nearly that same amount of time, Hugh Birdsall and a talented group of musician friends have been sharing their music in support of our community. This year’s event brings that tradition back to the stage for an evening of live music, connection, and celebration. One guitar, passed from person to person, each adding their voice.

Featuring: Steve Elci, Dante Piacenza, Ponybird, Nick Evento, American Elm, Lauren Agnelli, Woody, Frank Critelli, Bernadette Golden, Jim Carpenter, Sandy Allen, Vince Tuckwood, John Fries, Anne Castellano, Terri Lachance, The Rivergods, and Dogbite.

Pizza will be available by donation, along with a cash bar.
