TO SUM IT UP - Don’t drink, don’t fight, be kind and humble, holy & righteous. Don’t be led astray by false doctrine. Let us be a “peculiar” people. He called us to be separated from the world, so we should not be acting like the rest of the world. Amen. ❤️✝️🕊️
In the book of Titus Paul writes to Titus to instruct him regarding qualifications for elders in the church and warning against false teachers, and essentially how we as Christians, should conduct ourselves… here is what Paul had to say:
Titus 1:7-8 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
Titus 2: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14
That the aged man be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, and charity, and patience. The aged woman, likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given too much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.
Young men, likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things showing thy self, a pattern of good works: in doctrine, showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity; Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you; Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed Hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.
