國際佛光會華府協會簡介 An Introduction to BLIA-DC

國際佛光會華府協會成立於2004年，積極推廣佛光山開山宗長星雲大師的「人間佛教」理念。華府協會會員包括居住在大華府一帶，馬里蘭州(Maryland)、維吉尼亞州(Virginia)、哥倫比亞特區(Washington, D.C) 等信徒。協會定期舉辦生活講座、佛學研討會、禪修班等，並積極參與社區慈善活動。希望藉由佛光會，讓大華府地區的居民得以聽聞正信佛法，實踐星雲大師「佛法與生活融合不二」的理念。

The Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Washington, DC Chapter was founded in 2004 to promote the Fo Guang Shan Monastery's concept of Humanistic

Buddhism. The BLIA DC Chapter is located in the suburbs of Washington DC, the capital of the United States. Participating members include residents in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area: Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. BLIA regularly organizes lectures, study groups, and cultural activities. In addition, BLIA actively participates in community philanthropy. We hope that BLIA activities will implement the teachings of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, "The integration of Buddhism and Life Education," to the community in the Washington DC area.

大華府地區戶外健走活動又來囉 !此次活動推廣「您走路，我種樹」的理念，地球暖化嚴重，需要你我一同行動。年初已在馬州州立公園種下1200棵樹苗，今年仍持續推動中。另外，也希望大家參予蔬食A計畫，減少雨林開發，減少排碳。活動地點: Burke ...

大華府地區戶外健走活動又來囉 !
此次活動推廣「您走路，我種樹」的理念，地球暖化嚴重，需要你我一同行動。
年初已在馬州州立公園種下1200棵樹苗，今年仍持續推動中。
另外，也希望大家參予蔬食A計畫，減少雨林開發，減少排碳。
活動地點: Burke Lake Park, ( 7315 Ox Rd, Fairfax Station, VA 22039)
集合地點: Burke Lake Shelter B
日期:六月八日星期六
時間:上午9:30報到,10:00活動開始，大約下午1:45賦歸
內容包括(小組活動、團隊遊戲、健走、用餐、觀賞青年團表演、頒獎、抽獎、賦歸)。
(行走步道大約1.5mile, 時間約1小時)。
餐點:中午有提供好吃的油飯、燒烤、飲料等等，並有趣味遊戲和抽獎活動。

為準備餐點，如果全家大小共5人，則須需寫五個名字喔，否則無法提供餐點。
活動如有疑問，可電話洽詢(240)243-6955(週二至週日上午11點至下午4點協會有值班人員)
報名時間:即日起至6月7日止，敬請儘快報名參加。
Burke Lake Park 的步道兩旁都有樹蔭，涼爽舒適是走路的好地方。
