THE UNBROKEN PRESENCE
"And look, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:20
DEVOTION
We often treat our faith like an outfit. We put it on for Sunday mornings, wear it proudly among fellow believers, and then neatly fold it away when Monday arrives. We step into the office, a social gathering, or a difficult conversation, and without realizing it, we leave our faith at the door just to blend into the room.
But Jesus never called us to a part-time relationship. He called us to a shared life.
Someone once said, "Take God everywhere you go. And if you can’t take God with you… don’t go."
This standard is not about achieving flawless perfection. Following Jesus does not mean you will never stumble, nor does it mean you must have your life entirely figured out. Instead, it is about welcome. It is the daily, conscious choice to ensure that in every room you enter, every conversation you start, and every decision you weigh, Jesus is still welcome there.
If a environment, a friendship, or a habit requires you to mute your faith to be accepted, that is a door you were never meant to walk through. You do not have to compromise who you are to fit into spaces that cannot handle your allegiance to Him.
APPLICATION
Inviting God into your entire life transforms the ordinary into the sacred. It means He belongs in:
• Your home: In the way you treat your family behind closed doors.
• Your career: In the honesty and integrity of your daily work.
• Your struggles: In the quiet, messy anxieties you fight alone.
Don’t just make room for God on Sundays. Take Him into your everyday, ordinary moments. Protect your peace, honor your conviction, and let His presence fill every corner of your world.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have compartmentalized my faith. Thank You that You do not demand perfection, but simply desire my heart. Give me the courage to walk away from spaces where You are not welcome, and the wisdom to invite You into my everyday moments. May my life be an open door for Your presence. Amen.
