Our Executive Committee met yesterday for their weekly luncheon. Our new initiative for this year is the outreach program to America's Youth and their parents. According to a study done by the Pew Foundation, somewhere around 15% of this group have evangelical Christian beliefs and values.
We are in the process of developing a survey focused on this particular age group.
This survey will give the Holy Spirit the opportunity He wants to reveal through them how we can do a better job of reaching them for Christ. We are also developing a matching survey for the parents and grandparents of these youth. Some are calling this group Generation Z. We use the term Gen Z to refer to them.
If you would like to learn more about them and their particular challenges I recommend you the book titled GEN Z published by the Barna Research organization. They can be reached at www.barna.com.
