A new Wednesday night series begins tomorrow!

Join us Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m. as we begin a study through the book of 1 Corinthians at the Concord Church of Christ in Gainesville, Texas.

Tim Hayes will introduce the book, helping us consider the setting of the church at Corinth, the circumstances Paul was addressing, and some of the major themes we will encounter as we work through the letter together.

Join us this Wednesday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. for our midweek assembly at the Concord Church of Christ in Gainesville, Texas.

Nathan will be speaking from Judges 9:7–15 on “Jotham’s Parable of the Trees.”

In this parable, the trees seek a king. The olive tree, fig tree, and vine each refuse, while the bramble eagerly accepts. Through Jotham’s words, we find a powerful warning about leadership, ambition, and the consequences of choosing the wrong man to lead.

We know many of our brothers and sisters will be traveling this weekend. If your travels take you north out of Dallas, we would love for you to join us for our Sunday morning assembly at the Concord Church of Christ in Gainesville, Texas.

We are located about an hour north of Dallas. Our assembly begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a potluck lunch. Please stay, enjoy a meal with us, and spend some time in fellowship.

Scripture repeatedly shows that those who lift themselves up in pride and self-reliance will be brought low, while those who humble themselves and submit to God receive His grace.

On July 15, Brother Tyler Gage will present “The Parable of the Lion Cubs” from Ezekiel 19. Through the fate of two wicked kings of Judah, we will consider how God humbled the proud and what their downfall teaches us about humility, submission, and dependence upon the Lord.
