Gainesville Virginia Stake
Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Gainesville Virginia Stake,

It was a blessing to gather together for stake conference. Whether you attended in person or joined us from home, we felt the Spirit in our midst and are grateful for everyone who was part of that sacred experience. These gatherings are among the great privileges of belonging to a covenant people, and we do not take lightly the trust you place in your leaders or the sacrifices many of you make to attend.

During our conference, several inspired invitations were extended by our speakers. We share them again here so they are not lost in the busyness of life. We invite you to prayerfully consider how you might accept and act upon these invitations in your ward, your family, and your personal life.

——————————————————
INVITATIONS FROM STAKE CONFERENCE
——————————————————

1. Pray for loved ones in faith, and seek reconciliation in all your relationships. (President Jennifer Wall)

2. Ponder Hymn #89 and discover what it means to you personally. (President Dan Olson)

3. Reflect on what the one or two most foundational tenets of your faith are and consider sharing them with others. (Sister Loreena Williams)

4. See the divine nature in yourself and in those around you. (President Troy Smith)

5. Seek to understand Faith, Hope, and Charity more deeply — and apply them more readily in your daily life. (President Hans Carlson)

6. Pray each morning to know who needs your help that day, and ask for God's power to flow through you to them. Bind yourself to act, and you will be led. You will be prompted. (President Hans Carlson)

7. Share a Christ-centered message and be a voice of peace and love — including on your social media platforms. (President Hans Carlson)

8. Invite someone to attend church with you within the next three months. (President Hans Carlson)

——————————————————

Brothers and sisters, we testify that faithful action — even imperfect — is the soil in which miracles grow. The Lord does not ask us to be perfect before He moves in our lives. He asks us to move, and then He meets us there. As you act on even one of these invitations, we promise you that you will see His hand. Doors will open. Hearts will soften. Lives — including your own — will be changed.

We love you. We are honored to serve alongside you in this great work. We testify the Lord loves you and will continue to strengthen you and your families and provide peace as you seek to follow Him.

Gainesville Stake Presidency,

Hans Carlson, Troy Smith, Dan Olson

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We have a wonderful opportunity coming up.
We are looking for volunteers to help at this year's Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 20, at the WARF. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 2-hour shifts available. Volunteers will serve as greeters or help others with family history research. This is a meaningful way to serve your community and we especially encourage our youth to sign up and be part of making this event a success.

👉 Sign up to volunteer here: https://m.signupgenius.com/ #!/showSignUp/30E0D44AFAD23ABF85-63913858-2026?useFullSite=false

Thank you for your continued enthusiasm for family history work. These events are a wonderful way to connect families, serve others, and build skills that can bless generations.

Stake Conference for the Gainesville Stake was this weekend.

Today we learned a little more about the NEW names of the Young Women classes: Builders of Faith, Messengers of Hope and Gatherers of Light. We were blessed to hear from some of of the Young Women that live here in the area. The Young Womens president from the Haymarket Ward shared how she prayed for the young women to have names. She has been blessed serving with the young women and LOVES the new names and their meanings.
President Carlson shared that we all can be Builders of Faith, Messengers of Hope and Gatherers of Light. He challenged ALL of us to 2️⃣ things:
1️⃣ Share a Christ centered message
2️⃣ Every youth and adult are to invite someone to attend church in the next 3 months.

Please take the time to pray and ponder on how you can follow our Stake President and BE THE LIGHT!
