The Vision of the Church

Our vision is to prepare a place that ministers to our community, city, state and nation. Our desire is to give God the glory in all that we do and to remain humble so that God may use us (I Peter 5:6)

Showers of Blessings Harvest Center, Inc. was the vision of its Founders and Pastors Willie L. King

The first church service was held at St. Luke Full Gospel Church on

Sunday, December 1, 1996. This service was very small, but it was filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. God moved in a mighty way and within eleven days the Lord
blessed the congregation to move to another location. On December 11, 1996, the SBHC family moved to the University Centre Hotel, located at 1535 SW Archer Road. The church remained there until 1998 when the Lord opened doors for Showers at the Highlands Presbyterian Church located at 1001 NE 16th Ave. The congregation remained there until July 26, 1998. Finally, on August 2, 1998, Showers of Blessings Harvest Center, Inc. opened its doors for the first time for fellowship at 2615 SE 15th Street. The property has a spacious facility that houses several different ministries and covers over
15,000 square feet. Amenities include: a full-length basketball court, dining hall, nursery, daycare facility, library, outreach facility, classrooms, and administrative offices

‼️ Trust God’s Plan‼️

This past Sunday, Apostle King preached a powerful sermon on trusting God’s plan. Learn to trust the Planner and be confident that His plans are for our good and for His glory.

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭GW‬‬ says, ‭‭ “I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.”

Apostle King encouraged us to raise our faith, trust God even more, and walk in complete obedience to Him. We are to trust God when we cannot see the plan because He will teach us how to walk in His plans for us. Apostle King shares that we may see the delay, but God sees the appointed time. He is higher than we are. He knows what’s ahead of us, so let us trust in Him.

This month, as you continuing trusting in the LORD completely, you will walk in a season of divine transitioning and the reaping of harvest in Jesus Name. Get ready!

This past Sunday, for our 3rd Annual Homecoming Service, Apostle King preached from the subject, “And the LORD shut him in."

God puts us in assigned lockdown to prepare us, protect us, to strengthen us, and so much more. Apostle King shares that God puts us in isolation on purpose. We may not understand it, but it’s God at work because greater is coming!

Remember: The rain doesn’t cancel the promise. The waiting doesn’t cancel the promise. The lockdown doesn’t cancel the promise. If God said it, we can trust Him! Apostle King says, “No matter what happens, stay in the ark. It may be uncomfortable, but stay there because God’s got you in assigned lockdown.” After the lockdown, comes the miracle. Get ready for something big in the things of God!

This past Sunday, Dr. Harold Wanton preached from the subject, "Learning How To Master Your Season"

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

Dr. Harold Wanton shared that a season is a God-ordained period, an appointed time, and a spiritual cycle of waiting, growing or harvesting. God causes our seasons to be plenteous. When we plant, we will reap. We will reap spiritual benefits when we do what God calls us to do. He shared that we must learn to study the Word, pray, discern, and walk circumspectly.

The call is clear: repent, believe the Gospel, walk in the ways of the LORD, and trust that God will cause each season of your life to be fruitful.
