Recently, a group of women from FBC spent several hours sorting, folding, and packaging donated clothing for babies and children to be distributed through the Hispanic Alliance in Gainesville.

The Hispanic Alliance works to empower Hispanic and Latino families through education, advocacy, and support services, helping families overcome barriers and build stronger futures.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with this wonderful organization and turn donated items into tangible blessings for local children and families. Thank you to our FBC women for giving their time, energy, and hearts to serve our community! ❤️

Our Senior Adult ministry (now known as “The Journey”) did exactly that at our recent "Spuds and Sweets" lunch! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with great fellowship, full hearts, (very full stomachs) and we truly made a joyful noise through song. Special thanks to Ed Phillips and his wife Stacie for leading such a fun time! We can’t wait for the next Journey fellowship!

FBC recently had the privilege of partnering with Beehive Homes of Gainesville, a 19-suite personal care home in a residential setting that provides quality living and a caring atmosphere for seniors. Residents receive personalized attention and 24-hour assistance from dedicated, well-trained staff in a smaller community setting where no one gets lost in the crowd.

During our Souls to the Street Day of Service, FBC volunteers spent a Saturday serving the residents of Beehive Homes. We led a craft project where residents made crosses, attached flowers, and added a Bible verse. We then set up an ice cream bar so each resident could choose their own toppings, followed by music and games that brought smiles and joyful connection.

We are so grateful for Beehive Homes’ commitment to the seniors in our community and honored to have shared this time of creativity, fellowship, and fun with the residents! Beehive is always looking for groups to come in and provide meaningful time with their residence. They love crafts, music, games, activities, and of course food. Anytime spent with them is meaningful and brings a smile to their day!

Sunday was a wonderful day at FBC as we celebrated two baptisms and welcomed our Interim Music Minister, Dick Burrell, as an official church member!

FBC recently had the privilege of partnering with SISU, an integrated preschool that provides early education, therapy, and family support to children of all abilities. After experiencing severe water damage earlier this summer, SISU spent July installing brand-new floors and moving back into five classrooms. During our Souls to the Street Day of Service, FBC volunteers stepped in to support their staff right before the new school year started! Our volunteers helped with organizing five classrooms for the teachers; cleaning and inspecting toys, installing batteries, and setting up learning spaces. We also cleaned and refreshed the Teachers' Lounge so educators have a comfortable resource space to regroup, and organized their tool room so maintenance and classroom supplies are easily accessible.

We are so grateful for SISU's dedication to our community's children and honored to help them prepare for a wonderful new school year!
