FRIDAY MORNING
REFLECTIONS—

Focusing on one small step of obedience at a time is a powerful way to turn Pastor Bryan’s messages about following Jesus into daily actions. This “take the next step”perspective may steer us away from self-criticism and toward meaningful progress. When we anchor our decisions in a genuine love for God and allow that love to actively shape our relationships, obedience becomes less about checking all the boxes and more about a lived devotion.

And by intentionally guarding our minds and filling them with His truth throughout the week, we prepare our hearts for corporate worship. This gentle momentum carries us into Sunday, where we can reflect together as we respond to this week’s message.

We are looking forward to seeing you this Sunday. To help in your reflection before then, we are sharing an old, familiar and well-loved song from a 1950’s film—and now, so many years later, it’s a gentle reminder that our desire is to walk with God.

Pastor Bryan passed along thanks from the kids at Horizons Academy, who enjoyed a mental health awareness fair here at St. Paul this past week. He also shared a personal thank-you from one young man who was especially touched by our spicy snacks. It goes to show that every flavor of outreach has the potential to spread the kindness of Christ, even Takis Fuego.

It’s easy this morning to have scattered thoughts as we prepare for the anticipated storms this weekend! But with our awareness comes preparation and, of course, prayer! We do this—not out of fear, but with a deep and steady resolve and faith that our God is with us.

We know the importance of focus.
Jesus Himself was undeterred in HIS mission. Pastor Bryan will remind us how crucial it is in the storms of our lives not to be distracted by insignificance. We move with intention to do what we can and know that grace moves into spaces we cannot control.

Be alert! Stay safe!! And we look forward to your presence on Sunday!!

October is Pastor Recognition Month!
October is a special opportunity to celebrate and honor our pastors and all they do to serve our church family. We encourage you to take a moment this month to let our pastors know how much we appreciate their dedication, commitment, and faithful service to our church, as well as their devotion to sharing God’s Word.
Whether you write a heartfelt note, take them out for coffee or lunch, give them a small gift, or simply tell them how much they mean to you, every gesture of appreciation meaningfully encourages and honors our pastors.
Let’s take this month to remind our pastors that their faithfulness, leadership, and service do not go unnoticed. We are grateful for all they do!

Here it is again—another Monday!! We’re sure you’ve noticed how quickly that’s happened! 😳 Along with all the responsibilities that may come for you today, we hope you’ll have some important reflection time. We’re thinking specifically about the questions Pastor Bryan asked us yesterday in his emphasis on the TIME we are given by God.

We may ask ourselves— how has God prepared us for this time in our lives? What is God asking us to do? What is God asking our church family to do? What now describes your life? WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR?

We all have choices. Let’s make them count for God—in ways we may not have believed were possible!
