In the past we have done one day, three days, five days, 21 days fast, and now we embark upon a SEVEN DAY FAST!
WE will be embarking upon Daniel Fast. Although fasting is an important spiritual Discipline, few Christians practice it.
Do not allow negative emotions to discourage you. Instead, ask God to help you participate in order to focus and encourage spiritual disciplines like scripture reading and meditation, prayer, and silence before God.
The Bible says, "I humbled myself with fasting"... Psalm 35:13
Key prayer areas:
1. Blessings
2. Favor
3.Growth in Christ
4. Healing
5. Love
6. Ministry
7. Spiritual Growth
Avoid all meat and animal products, refined and processed food products- artificial flavoring, chemicals, food additives, white flour, and white rice. All deep-fried foods, alcohol, carbonated drinks, coffee, energy drinks, herbal tea, and tea!
"At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. So, the guard took away their choice food and the w**e they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead."
-Daniel 1:15-16
