This Sunday, we were reminded that the struggles we see on the surface often point to something deeper in the heart. Jesus wants more than behavior change. He wants to transform the soil of our hearts.

May His Word take deep root and produce lasting fruit in us.

"Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." — 1 Samuel 15:23

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus taught that birds steal seed from hardened soil. Those birds are understood as a metaphor for demonic influence seeking to steal God's Word from our hearts.

A soft heart receives God's Word. A rebellious heart resists it.

God’s Word is powerful, life-giving, and able to transform us. But, like Jesus taught in the Parable of the Sower, the condition of our hearts determines whether that seed takes root.

A hardened heart can’t receive what God wants to plant.

Today, instead of asking God for a different circumstance, ask Him to cultivate your heart.

Pentecost in the Park is always one of our favorite Sundays of the year, and this one did not disappoint!

We celebrated baptism, received a powerful word, worshipped together, shared testimonies, prayed for each other, and shared a meal together.

We’re reminded church is not a service we attend, but it’s a community we are a part of. Grateful for all God is doing in and among us!
