Please join us this Sunday as Adam Sandlin brings us the Word. He’ll be preaching about anxiety out of Mark 4.

A little about Adam:

Adam Sandlin has been working in pastoral and professional counseling ministries for over 20 years. He is the founder and director of Covenant Christian Counseling, a private practice in Denton County where he works as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S), Counselor Supervisor, and Certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). He specializes in Christ-centered treatment for adults with OCD, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Adam is also an elder at Covenant Baptist Church in northern Denton County, where he and his wife, Alli, have been members since 2015. They have been married since 2012 and have three children together. Adam is blessed and humbled to have the opportunity to regularly minister both inside and outside of his local church as an author, speaker, educator, and preacher.

Today is Evangelism Wednesday! Join us for dinner from 6:00-6:30, worship at 6:30, and the evangelism class with Matthew Tarpley at 6:45. We will not have childcare or any of the regular classes this week.

A little about Matthew:

Matthew Tarpley was voted in as the Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in February of 2026. His passion in life is to feed Christ’s sheep through faithful exposition, personal counseling, developing biblically-ordered families, and evangelizing the lost with courage and compassion. Prior to the pastorate at FBC, Matthew was also the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Lake Waccamaw, NC, where he completed his M.Div. at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and served with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Matthew also spent time on the mission field (the Himalayas, Turkey, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Romania) before being called to pastor. He met his bride Sarah while they worked on their bachelor’s degrees at Dallas Baptist University. They were married in July 2020, and together they have two little boys.
