"I don't feel invisible anymore." 🤍
At the end of a Beauty for Ashes retreat in Northeast Georgia, the mic was opened for anyone who wanted to share. One by one, women stood — women from a local shelter, and team members too.
Then one woman said something we can't forget: "Before I found Beauty for Ashes, I felt invisible. I didn't know where I belonged. But this is my second trip, and I don't feel invisible anymore."
She came to serve other women. Along the way, she found a community where she was known, too.
That's what happens here. Women arrive from different places expecting to pour into others — and somewhere between the conversations around tables, the shared prayers, and the honest testimonies, strangers begin to feel like sisters.
And there's still time for you to experience it this fall. No passport, no months of prep — just five days, close to home. You'll serve alongside local ministries walking with survivors of sexual exploitation, immigrant women, and women in recovery.
High school grad or grandmother, first-timer or seasoned servant — there's a seat at this table for you.
