At Limestone Presbyterian Church, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. Our goal is to

infuse life and God's love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways. Together, we are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there's relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time. We also offer exciting educational programs for your children, kindergarten through fifth-grade, and youth during the Sunday School hour beginning at 10:00am. Worship together. Then lunch together. On Trinity Sunday when we acknowledge God who is love, who is relationship, we rejoiced that we were together with Bethesda Presbyterian Church Gaffney . Thanks be to God for partners in ministry and siblings in Christ.

Our white paraments were designed and made by members of the congregation. The Worship Committee coordinated the whole process: choosing the symbol, shopping for fabric, designing the embroidery machine file, putting sewing machines in gear, and hanging the paraments. The white paraments are used for days particularly associated with Jesus -- Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, as well as for sacraments (baptism and the Lord's supper) and ordinances (weddings, service of witness to the resurrection). We are grateful for the gifts of creativity and creating that our members geneously share and for the Worship Committee's commitment to worship at LPC.

We recognize the kitchen in this photo and are pleased to say that excellent food is still being prepared and served from it today. However, we suspect that the children in this photo might look a little different. Can anyone guess on a year? This photo wasn't with any other photos that looked similar, though it may have just gotten separated from its contemporaries if it's a VBS photo, for example.

Join us tonight for our final Wednesday Night Supper of the school year! The program after supper will be an introduction to the summer schedule -- we'll look at worship, Christian Education, VBS, service opportunities, the Wednesday supper schedule, and more. It's going to be a great summer!

LPC is in the house...or the office of Foothills Presbytery, anyway. Property committee, educators' gathering, and all things spreadsheets and polity brought three LPC members to the presbytery office on the same day at the same time! Being involved with the work and mission of the presbytery is one way we celebrate being a connectional church!

With wind and fire, with kites and flames and doves, we celebrated the gift of the Holy Spirit yesterday, Pentecost Sunday! Many thanks to the Worship Committee for helping us tell the story through color and movement. And what a joy it was to see the flames, doves, and kites we made on the previous Wednesday nights. The children took their kites with them, and we hope they can squeeze in some kite time today before the rain sets in. Come, Holy Spirit!
