Good afternoon. We want to invite all of our Harvest Kids volunteers AND those looking to plug in to our annual appreciation/training Brunch on August 8th. We want to take time to celebrate all you guys have done this year, working so hard to make sure our kiddos have the best church experience where they are loved and taught the word. We will take this time as well to talk to you guys about and train you on things we will be rolling out within the next year! This will be for all six areas of Harvest Kids. Make plans to be there!

New Harvest Church Family, with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George Bushko, Jr, Beloved son of Gloria Bushko. We kindly request your prayers for Gloria and the Bushko family during this trying time. The obituary below outlines the visitation and funeral arrangements.

George Bushko, Jr.

Blacksburg, SC - - George Allen Bushko, Jr., 58, of 132 Bushko Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Canonsburg, PA, he was the son of Gloria Diana Bushko of Blacksburg and the late George Allen Bushko, Sr. He was employed by Milliken in Blacksburg and a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his mother is a sister, Cynthia McMurry of Blacksburg; a niece, Amanda Queen; a nephew, Nicholas Queen. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Bushko.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Northside Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the Church with Reverend Joel Phillips officiating.

The family will be at the home of Gloria Bushko, 120 Bushko Lane, Blacksburg, SC 29702.

We’re excited to welcome The Shepherds back to New Harvest for a special evening of worship and ministry on Sunday, July 19th at 6:00 PM! Their ministry has been a blessing to our church in the past, and we can’t wait to have them with us again.

After the service, stay for a Homemade Ice Cream Social! If you’re able, bring your favorite homemade ice cream recipe to share with the church family. You can sign up at the Courtesy Center in the Narthex.
