We’re all familiar with the story; God’s perfect gift came in a manger, which is not the place we’d consider royalty to be born, yet it seems the overwhelming majority of professing Christian’s celebrate and give their praise (they click “like”), to everything except the simplicity of God dwelling in us (and not just some of us).
Maybe it sounds harsh to call many of those professing Christians “anti-Christ’s”… so maybe they’re just ignorant… but in either case, their lives aren’t really honoring what they claim (where it’s truly due), Christ.
In a world where reputation and money are king, who among us dare to honor The King, by making ourselves small?… By making our presentation less flattering to our ears and the hearer’s ears? Who among us know we don’t get extra points for position, titles or wardrobe? If we’re to believe the Saviour of the world didn’t come through prestige, yet fail to make it personal… we’ll, it’s either because the ones with the vision haven’t written it down and made it plain to their followers, or we simply don’t believe. No matter the cause, the remedy is simple… believe and allow our hearts to be one with Him. He’s not resisting: we are! He’s waiting patiently, actively arranging/allowing events to cancel opposition that hinders us knowing (intimate, like a husband and wife having relations) with His reality, which is Truth. He’s not concerned with whether you’ll believe, but when.
Powerful things don’t come with fanfare, but functionality (which has built-in purpose). Sons of the King come in this simplicity, resting in the identity that’s in Him (and Him in us… eternally, so there’s no condemnation past, present or future). All other parts of creation demonstrate this plainly, with no competition or striving (to be something they’re not), except things we’ve identified as cancerous and mutations of viruses, are out to kill, steal and destroy.
Merry Christmas!
[Lately, I’ve been putting things like this in my journal, for my eyes only, but this time, I feel impressed to share. I know this can come across as “heavy” but it’s really the load we’ve been carrying that is truly heavy.]
