That uses hunting & other outdoor events as a tool to share Jesus to young men that at no fault own that may have been dealt a bad hand. SonRise Outdoors is a nonprofit corporation with the primary purpose of pointing children
in the direction of the only One (Jesus Christ) who can truly help them with life's problems. The purpose of SonRise Outdoors is to reach out to young men and women whom li
fe has
thrown a curve ball and brought heartache and grief. There are children everywhere who are
hurting inside and crying out for help. Each of us can see one of these children if we take a
few minutes and just look around. The members and staff of SonRise Outdoors are unpaid, all serving as volunteers to provide
direction for these troubled and wayward kids. SonRise Outdoors believes it is our responsibility,
as stewards for God, to reach out and lend a helping hand where we are able. We cannot always
pick them up and carry them, as God has done for us so many times, but we can help by pointing
them in the direction of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom said in Hebrews 13: 5
“I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.”
The children of the members of SonRise Outdoors are fortunate to have been raised
in the God’s great wilderness, but more importantly in church. So many times we wonder what went wrong in a child's life to make him turn out the way he has;
however, if we look deep enough, we will find that when he needed help in a troublesome time
there was no one there to point him in the right direction. The ministry of SonRise Outdoors is
in response to God’s call to provide guidance for children in need. The hunting opportunity SonRise Outdoors offers to these children may be the only time in their life
they have the chance to experience the wonders of God’s creations such as seeing a deer in the wild,
much less harvest one. In order to provide these opportunities, a great deal of funding is required to
provide the youth meals, clothing, boots, bibles and other hunting gear. Shooting houses and stands
large enough for several people, cameras and camera men, and hunting property with heavy deer
populations are necessary as well. With the cost of fuel skyrocketing, transportation costs are much
greater than originally anticipated. Therefore, we hope that you also feel led to lend a helping hand
by providing a donation to our ministry. 100% of your donation will go toward providing youth hunts
and other outdoor events for these children. Not only will hunts and other outdoor events be provided to these children who have been through hard
times and misfortunate situations, but at night around the campfire and during lunch under an oak tree
